Hello sweet friends and Happy Monday. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:32
It is Monday Morning Blooms with my blogging friends and we are excited to welcome a special guest blogger.
Our common theme for this edition of Monday Morning Blooms is the garden/outdoors. From spring through fall, I love setting a table in my garden!
You will find the links for Lidy, Mary, and Jain at the bottom of this post.
We are so happy to welcome Jain as our guest! She is a fabulous gardener, baker, and stylist. Jain writes A Quiet Life blog where she shares her amazing gardens and inspiring posts!
It is hydrangea season and since they happen to be one of my favorite flowers, they are in the spotlight!
As the sun was setting, it cast a glow on the hydrangeas! Macrophylla hydrangeas are also known as French hydrangeas and often called mop heads. They are seen here in beautiful shades of blue, pink, and lavender filling a simple green vase. Hydrangeas look beautiful mixed with other flowers, but my personal preference is to allow them to be a stand alone flower to show off their amazing beauty!
The table linens and dishware were chosen to complement the varying shades of the hydrangeas. Woven placemats provide texture for the April Cornell “cottage rose” tablecloth.
Long-time readers will remember my dear friend that grows all of these
beautiful hydrangeas. After a quick drive to the farm, Martha and I took a golf cart ride to see all of the Macrophyllas that were blooming. I came home with two buckets filled with amazing colors. You can read more about the farm here.
Bordallo Pinheiro dessert plates and Noritake “reverie” iced tea glasses harmonize with the flower vase!
Sur La Table “rose garden” dinner and salad plates mimic the tablecloth! The floral patterned earthenware was inspired by London’s Chelsea Flower Show in collaboration with artist, April Cornell. It appears the dishware has been discontinued.
Daylilies are blooming as the gardenias have begun to fade. Paniculata hydrangeas will begin blooming in late June or early July. Zinnias, cosmos, and sunflowers were planted from seed and we should begin to see blooms by early July. It is the rhythm of the garden!
The sunlight, once again, is at a perfect angle to highlight the blooms!
The pink and white “forget me not” tablecloth by April Cornell perfectly coordinates with the color of the pink hydrangeas.
“Sweet contentment is found in setting a garden table on a late afternoon as the sun begins its journey to meet the horizon and the air begins to cool. The symphony of birdsong fills the air and the sweet fragrance of gardenia is carried on a gentle breeze.”
~Pam Richardson

Hydrangea perfection Pam! Your Sur La Table rose garden plates are beautifully paired with your April Cornell linens and hydrangea table centerpiece! (I don’t recall seeing them before.) I can only imagine how much fun it was to visit your friend’s flower farm and see all those gorgeous hydrangeas and to come home with buckets of blooms. You captured the golden light so beautifully as it highlighted and illuminated your table and arrangement. As always it’s a treat to have a virtual seat at a table in your garden. Thank you for the beautiful start to my morning. Happy Monday. ♥

Good morning Pam! Your verse from Ephesians was the perfect start to our week. Your blooms from Martha’s farm perfectly complement your beautiful tablecloth and dishware. It is glorious in the golden sunlight! Last week I tried the trick of reviving blooms by submerging upside down in cold water…it worked! Your lovely quotation really needs to be in a garden book of your photographs.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Roxanne. Yes the trick to revive the blooms definitely works! Your sweet encouragement is so appreciated!

Pam, Your tablescape is gorgeous! The AC tablecloth and topper are beautiful and the dishes are so pretty. I do hope someday to get to visit the Aldridge garden. You always bring home such pretty flowers from there and today the hydrangeas are magnificent in both color and size. I was able to propagate our hydrangeas and they’re finally up large enough to qualify as a shrub plant but they haven’t bloomed yet. The original one in our yard is in full bloom so I hope the others bloom next year. I must read up on them some more as this was my first attempt at propagation. Happy Monday! Clara ❤️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Clara, you would so enjoy all of the gorgeous hydrangeas. Good for you that you were able to propagate your hydrangeas. Wishing you a wonderful week ♥️

Just beautiful, Pam! Now that I’ve studied the aerial view, I have to ask – do you have a cart that you wheel all your tabletop supplies out into the various spots where you set tables? I can’t imagine doing it any other way! You’ve got a lot of ground to cover, whether it’s mowing, weeding, planning or executing those plans for all your activities! It’s simply beautiful. Truly.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Yes, we have a lot of ground to cover, sometimes I think way too much 🥰 Thank you, Rita!

Pam, hydrangeas are favorites here too. It’s difficult to grow most varieties in Austin because of our intense heat, but I certainly buy them abundantly. Always a pleasure to see your tables. I agree with Rita, you grounds are extensive, but have to say always beautifully groomed. You two are amazing! Fun to see Jain joining this time. Sorry I’m late arriving!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much, Sarah! Have a lovely week!
