Hello sweet friends. It is the third Tuesday of the month which means Tea On Tuesdays! It is an exciting one because Mary and I both have a fabulous giveaway!
“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.”
Psalm 145:18
I am delighted you are joining me in the cottage garden for a “spot of tea” and light refreshments.
You will find the link for Mary’s beautiful Tea On Tuesdays at the bottom of this post.
What a pleasure being introduced to Spot of Tea and their flavorful teas. This sweet company sent six different teas for me to try along with the cute dolphin infuser! Having tried them all, I must say each is distinctively different and delicious. I highly recommend all six…I’m hard pressed to choose a favorite!
Spot of Tea is generously offering three hand-crafted teas, flower pot infuser, heart sugar cubes, and a vintage teacup to one of my readers. All the details on how to enter this fun giveaway is at the bottom of this post.
Meet the lovely owners of Spot of Tea, Linda Austin and daughter Laura. They hand blend premium teas and fruits to make unique, fun and delicious flavors. Their tea education began when three of the family members worked in a local tearoom for years. When it closed, they took their newly found passion for excellent teas and began Spot of Tea LLC where they are constantly working to develop new and inspiring flavors. They sell their tea online and also in shops and craft fairs local to Sweet Valley, PA where they live.
Today I am sharing three of these flavorful teas and I declare all three are delicious!!
I chose the cottage garden to share teatime. It is beginning to have the overgrown English garden look that I admire.
Royal Albert, “Lady Carlyle” teacup is proudly offering “Cinnamon Vanilla”. I fell in love with this black tea with its warm cinnamon and vanilla spices!
“Cinnamon Vanilla” is perfect for an August morning while sitting in the garden and perusing favorite magazines. Victoria magazine’s latest issue features tea in a lovely British garden…one can dream!
A simple bowl of strawberries is the perfect accompaniment for tea, anytime. An older April Cornell tablecloth and vintage lace-bordered napkin complements the sweet teapot with cuttings of limelight hydrangeas and zinnias from the garden!
As a Southerner, I love iced tea! A vintage hobnail goblet serves up “That’s A Lot Of Berries” with a sprig of lemon balm! If you like berries, this one has them all. Blueberry, blackberry, strawberry, and raspberry. Wow, that’s a lot of berries!
I kept a glass of this delightful tea handy while I continued to photograph. It was a typical August day in the South…hot and humid!
Ingredients: black tea, blackberry leaves, strawberry bits, blueberry pieces, raspberry flavor, natural and artificial flavors.
Homemade pound cake with strawberries is ideal when served with this berry flavored tea!
In an effort to be totally transparent, I drank the tea and ate the cake as soon as I finished taking photos.
Since I am a fan of Earl Grey tea, I decided on “London Fog” as my third tea to spotlight. Spot of Tea’s take on the beloved Earl Grey definitely meets my approval!
Ingredients: black tea, vanilla pieces, white chocolate chips, lavender, cornflowers, bergamot flavor, natural and artificial flavors.
It seems I have had the beautiful Victoria (Austria) cup and saucer for many years. I am quite sure it was a gift from one my friends. Checking on Replacements website, I found the pattern described as scattered floral sprays with gold border and trim and it was produced in the 1950’s.
A delightful accompaniment to “London Fog” is a lemon custard topped with strawberries. In case you are wondering, I polished off the tea and custard immediately!
Now to the all important guidelines for the giveaway…

Good Morning Pam! Your cottage garden is the perfect spot to enjoy tea among all the beautiful blooms! I’ve always admired your gorgeous April Cornell linens and your pretty-in-pink floral on your table in no exception. I love your pretty Royal Albert Lady Carlyle teacup too, along with your teapot serving as vase for blooms from your garden. I hope the head gardener enjoyed a slice of your delicious homemade pound cake and custard with strawberries too. 😊 Thanks so much for the beauty and tea this morning, it’s always a treat to visit you in your beautiful garden. ♥
Pamela Meyers Arbour says
You really have me wanting to try some of those. You really make teatime look fun and enoyable. I don’t drink tea as much as I used to. I should start back.
Gail says
Really am enjoying this new series about tea…so many great ideas. All the teas sound delicious. I would like to try Lemon Meringue Rooibos.
Kari says
Pam, I enjoy my cuppa tea and my morning is not complete until I have had my first cup of usually …a green tea! But I am also up to trying new teas and London Fog certainly sounds interesting. Your tea set tables are charming, as always…. I would love to sit virtually in your cottage garden and nibble on custard pudding with fresh strawberries. You and I are so much alike as I always imagine my gardens as overgrown English gardens even though they are more like neatly manicured shrubs and bushes, sigh!…:(
Have a great and Blessed day, sweet friend.
Linda Austin says

My mother in law she loves a great cup of tea with a short bread cookies. She would share a new tea with me and others when visiting. I truly enjoy this time with her. This is a way I share with her new teas to try. See if there is a one she enjoyed more than the other. That would give me ideas for gifts for her. Have a Blessed Day and look forward to visiting with you again.

How temping this post is. I want to have tea with my neighbors’ little girl . I will try to emulate your table and serve a couple of the teas from Spot of Tea. I am a Earl Grey lover. Baking a pound cake to serve and strawberries to top it off is so southern and so delicious. This post makes my heart sing and puts a smile on my face. Now I must go bake a pound cake.

Not only is this beautiful, but it’s inspiring. I’ve been slouching these past few weeks. Just not putting in any effort to do anything whatsoever. This has perked me up! I guess that’s part of tea’s job…to perk you up! Beautiful!!! And homemade pound cake? Yes, please!
