Happy Thursday sweet friends. All of a sudden we have autumn colors showing up everywhere! But, can you believe October is almost over?!
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:8-9 ESV
I have mentioned many, many times that October is my favorite month. I compiled a brief photo journal of a few favorite photos from October’s past.
An October sunrise from our pasture!
RM and I love to to get out and about in autumn. October is the perfect time to visit Gibbs Gardens.
The visit of the monarchs at Gibbs Gardens happens each October when fields of cosmos are in bloom!
Cotton harvest…
…and soybean harvests captured by our son!
Falling leaves in pink and red!
A brilliant orange maple at Berry College in Rome, GA!
Little River Canyon National Preserve has much to offer throughout the year, but October is my favorite time to visit!
Last year’s Sunshine Cottage porch partially hidden by a Gingko!
A stack of pumpkins on the kitchen porch…
…a stack or two in the garden…
…and on the cottage porch!
Blooming pumpkin!
Another blooming pumpkin and a bicycle basket filled with pumpkins!
Pumpkins show up everywhere, even in a dough bowl!
An October sunset over Weiss Lake!
Sharing more October color this Sunday on Simple + Southern Sunday. Hope you can drop by!
Thank you for your visit and gracious comments. Wishing you a lovely day!

The trade-off for living on the beautiful gulf coast with sugar white beaches is there is no fall color. Alas, I sprinkle silk leaves all over my mantel and tabletops. Faux fall can’t replace the real-deal. I love your photos and those orange trees are my favorite. Enjoy the blessing of a colorful autumn.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
That is what I love about our beautiful state. From the Appalachian Foothills where I live to the sugar white beaches down south where you are! We truly have a beautiful state!

Beautiful photos Pam – it looks so gorgeous there! I can’t believe that there are still flowers blooming. I love your blooming pumpkins and your pumpkin stacks – we’ve had a couple of major frosts here so anyone who had pumpkins out for Halloween – well, lets just say they’re kind of wilted and soggy. The sunset over the lake is so pretty. I hope you had a wonderful birthday month and Happy Halloween to you!
