Merry Tuesday, sweet friends! Are you ready for Christmas? I only lack a few stocking stuffers and of course, grocery shopping for Christmas dinner!
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
Luke 2:11
I am so happy you are here to join me for a casual Christmas tea and delectable sweets!
I look forward to the third Tuesday of each month when I join Mary for Tea On Tuesdays! You will find Mary’s link at the bottom of this post!
The dining room table is dressed with a tartan plaid blanket and laden with a bounty of assorted sweets!
I am serving up one my favorite teas, an Earl Grey Crème. The comforting flavors of vanilla and cream combine to lighten the citrus notes of a traditional Earl Grey.
Beautiful floral napkins from April Cornell mix perfectly with the traditional plaid!
Cupcakes from a local bakery have been approved by my Renaissance Man!
“The joy of brightening other lives becomes for us the magic of the holidays.”

Pistachio macarons (a personal favorite), petite Bundt cakelets filled with white icing, and my homemade fruitcake grace the vintage two-tiered tray. Every year I bake fruitcake for my Daddy which we both love. My Mother made dozens of fruitcakes each year to give away. Everyone that received one said it was the best they had ever eaten. I never found her recipe after she passed away, but I had seen her make them and knew the ingredients. My sweet Daddy brags on mine every year. RM has never been a fan, but he actually ate a piece, sipped Earl Grey tea, and enjoyed both…especially the fruitcake!
A simple arrangement of fresh cedar, frosted pine cones, and small ornaments add a beautiful fragrance to the table!
I love the Queen’s Seasons Greetings china. I have had many questions about it over the years. I found it at Tuesday Morning and there was no doubt that this blue and white Christmas pattern would be coming home with me!
On a recent trip to Birmingham, I stopped by Trader Joe’s and found these dark, milk, and white chocolates in assorted holiday shapes. I knew my grands would love them, so I bought extra! My homemade fudge was added to the plate of chocolates.
Do you have things you rarely use? While I was searching through a cabinet for something I never found, I ran across six, small, ruby red cordials. One made it to the tea table to corral spoons.
White chocolate macadamia and oatmeal raisin cookies!
Petite cinnamon roll bites are a perfect accompaniment to tea!
“Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas.”
~ Peg Bracken
Fitz and Floyd Santa teapots moved from the Sunshine Cottage to the dining room!
“Joy to the world, the Lord is come
Let earth receive her King.
Let every heart prepare Him room
And Heaven and nature sing
And Heaven and nature sing
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing
~Isaac Watts
I had planned to invite friends to enjoy my afternoon tea. Unfortunately, I have not been feeling well and one friend came down with a severe case of flu. My sweet Ella Mae and Emma will join me this afternoon for tea in the Sunshine Cottage!
“Oh little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by
Yet in thy dark streets shineth, the everlasting light
The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.”

You will definitely enjoy visiting with Mary, Home Is Where The Boat Is, for her beautiful tea presentation!

Good Morning Pam! Your dining room looks so festive with your tartan plaid tablecovering and bounty of teatime treats! I’ve long admired your Fitz and Floyd Santa teapots…what beautiful details, as well as your blue and white Queen’s Seasons Greetings. I so miss dish hunting at Tuesday Morning. I’ll take a cinnamon roll bite for my morning coffee and a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie with me for my afternoon cuppa! So sorry you aren’t feeling well, take care of yourself. I hope Ella Mae and Emma enjoy the treats with you in the Sunshine Cottage. Wishing you a Merry Christmas week. 🎄❤️🫖
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much, Mary. I so enjoy a cuppa with you every third Tuesday of the month! Merry Wednesday ♥️

It may be casual, but it’s definitely a FEAST! Wow, so many sweet treats, and they all look yummy, Pam. Mr P would be in heaven, lol. I’m so sorry you’re not feeling great, and I hope it’s not full-fledged flu by now. It took me two weeks to feel like myself afterward (no energy, and in bed almost the entire first week). Your table setting looks wonderful. I love the arrangement of greens too. Seems this last week before Christmas has had me running to the grocery numerous times, forgetting my normal staples for things like bananas when I’m focusing on the specialty list!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much, Rita. I have so many sweets, I wish Mr. P was here to enjoy them. I am so glad you are feeling better from the horrible flu. My ailments are not the flu. Wishing you a Merry last few days before Christmas ♥️
Clara says
Pam, I’m so sorry to hear you’re not feeling well. I hope it’s not anything serious! Flu is rampant and the change in weather is certainly not helping. Your dining room table is gorgeous. So many delicious choices of treats. The blue and white Christmas plates are always a favorite. The AC napkins paired with your plaid is so pretty. Your Santas on your silver tray are so festive. I don’t envy having to go the grocery store as it was kinda crazy yesterday when we went. Please take care of yourself! Clara ❤️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much, sweet Clara. Stay warm during this severe cold. Merry Christmas ♥️
Carole @ From My Carolina Home says
Oh, my, what a gorgeous table full of yummy treats! I adore those Santa teapots. I do hope whatever made you feel under the weather was mild and passes quickly.

Thank you so much, Carole. Merry Christmas!

Pam, I’m so sorry that you haven’t been feeling well. I’m sending prayers and hugs your way for a speedy recovery so that you will be well for Christmas. It seems that there is so much sickness going around right now. Your tea table looks just delightful! Everything is just beautifully displayed, and the plaid tablecloth is perfect for Christmas. All of those treats look amazing, and Earl Grey tea is my favorite! Wishing you a most wonderful day, sweet friend!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, and especially for your prayers. Merry Christmas, my friend ♥️
Roxanne Bernard says
Good morning Pam! Your table is so festive…I love a tartan, it just evokes comfort and warmth. Earl Gray tea is one of my favorites, but I have never seen Earl Gray Creme. Do you have a favorite brand to recommend? We can all appreciate the beautiful ruby cordials dilemma! I was rummaging through my accessories cabinet and found 2 small green pottery holders that Christmas candles had come in; they were just too pretty to throw out, but I had no idea what to do with them. Then I had an a-ha moment and “planted” tiny faux Christmas trees in them! Put me on the Yes Please for fruitcake list! Prayers you and your friend are quickly feeling much better.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Roxanne, the tea came from the wonderful tea and spice shop in Highlands. Thank you so much, sweet friend ♥️
Donna says
Lovely, especially seeing it all come together. It makes for a fun look.

Thanks so much, Donna!

I so look forward to having monthly Tuesday Tea with you and Mary!
Your Christmas tea table is so gloriously abundant…and yummy ❤ I can just picture the twinkle in the grands eyes!
Your ability to find the perfect quote or scripture is such a joy to me, thank you for all the thoughtfulness you always share with us 💚
It was so helpful learning that Cedar branches don’t have sap run like the pine we have here…I’ll be looking for some for the house…❤
Hope you are feeling better soon🎄

Thank you for the invitation to your lovely Christmas Tea Party. From the favored Fitz and Floyd pitchers on a silver tray, to the beautiful and delectable assortment of delicacies, nothing was left undone. I think what I would enjoy most though is your company. Queen’s Greetings blue and white china was in my hand just today at Tuesday Morning, but alas, it was a set of bowls and not the Christmas pattern you have here. I absolutely love that blue Christmas tree! Your entire tea is relaxing via computer screen!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Leslie Anne. Our TM store closed a couple of years ago. I could always find amazing stuff! Merry Christmas!

You have done so very much to bring Christ mas cheer and beauty, that it is no wonder you had to stop,
catch your breath and recover. Hope you will be fully restored before Christmas. Your “casual tea” is so
elegant and inviting. Wish we could all gather around that table, chat and share…what a jolly time that would
be among the kindred spirits. You now have me scheduling a visit to Tuesday Morning to see if I can spy
a few Queens Greetings pieces..so lovely. Please relax in that comfy Sunshine chair with a bit of Earl Grey
and a macaron or two and peruse the magazines that await you… recovery in no time. Blessings.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Mary. Your comments are always a blessing. Taking time for rest, sweet friend♥️

How wonderful to have been invited to your Christmas tea! Pam, I truly can’t fathom how you can take a seemingly eclectic favorite pieces and create such a gorgeous tablescape. You are most definitely blessed with a beautiful gift of hospitality — in person, I am sure, and through your writing. I’m asking our Lord to bless you by restoring your health to full measure so that you may continue blessing others. I am feeling the need to brew myself my own cup of Earl Grey and enjoy it while I go visit the posts of your blogging friends. Have a blessed and beautiful Christmas, Pam and Butch.

Cindie, you are a sweet blessing. Thanks so much for your prayers. Wishing you and yours a blessed and lovely Christmas.

Pam, everything looks so festive and pretty. Oh do I love Christmas. It’s my favorite time of the year. It looks like us Floridians will have cold Christmas this year too. My grandmother made fruit cake every Christmas. I have never made one but we are blessed to be gifted a few slices each year. Marty a bigger fan than I with fruitcake I must admit. Merry Christmas to you and Butch. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, sweet Cindy. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family!

Seasons Greetings, Pam. When you are up to it would you be able to share your fruitcake recipe? I love it (my family does NOT…but that just means more for moi, lol). I buy the small rectangle from the grocery store but I’d love to bake a ‘tried & true’ critically acclaimed fruitcake. Feel better soon!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Robin. I will make a note to share the recipe. Merry Christmas!

Praying for full restoration of your health this Christmad🙏🏽 Christmas wouldn’t be the same if you didn’t show us your decorated tables. I love fruitcake. I make one from Southern Living back in the 70’s my husband loves it and I dole it out in thin slices to make it last longer.
My zgod richly bless you and Butch this Christmas.

I am so sorry I am so terribly late getting to read your posts. I save them so I will be sure to read them when I can fully absorb and appreciate them. I hated to read that you weren’t feeling well and trust you are so much better and were able to enjoy Christmas. Is there any way you could share your fruitcake and fudge recipes with us? I know it would be a lot of trouble, but I just thought I would ask. I imagine you are such a wonderful cook! May the Lord bless you always, sweet friend. Merry Belated Christmas!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I am feeling better, thanks so much Cheryl. May God bless you and your family in 2023!
