Hello dear ones. It seems that January has been racing by quickly and February will be arriving soon. Valentine’s Day is such a sweet treat tucked into the middle of winter.
“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:13
I am joining nineteen table stylists to bring you a Valentine Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by my talented friend, Rita from Panoply. You will find the links for all the beautiful table settings at the bottom of this post.
When you think of Valentine’s Day, are there certain colors that are automatically brought to mind that represent the day?
I am traditional in my celebration of this special day, red and pink are the colors of love!
An April Cornell ‘berry plaid’ tablecloth is the ideal foundation for my colors of love table that features American Atelier ‘baroque’ chargers, Royal Stafford ‘Asiatic pheasant’ dinner plates, and ruby red salad/luncheon plates.
My RM loves these heart-shaped shortbread cookies!
A Limoges floral bread and butter plate with a lovely gold border adds a bit of romance to the table.
Who doesn’t love pink tulips?
A red velvet heart that is wearing a gold crown always adorns my Valentine’s tables.
Red heart napkin rings and pink napkins add more colors of love to the table!
The table is set for four. The colors of love are so much more than a pink and red table setting! Valentine’s day is a time for caring and sharing. An invitation to friends or family to come and dine, while enjoying the festive colors, is definitely a wonderful way to express love! Even better, what about an invitation to someone who might otherwise spend the day alone?
“And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
Colossians 3:14
A bread and butter plate marked Bavaria has a sweet floral pattern. I love finding little plates of two or four to mix on table settings.
Whether dark, milk, or white…chocolate is definitely a color of love!
A small pink heart plate is filled with colors of love. Delicious strawberry bundt cakelets surrounded by M&M’s satisfy our love of all things sweet! Conversation hearts were sprinkled on the table for pastel colors of love!
My RM and I always spend Valentine’s Day at home with a candlelit dinner. We no longer wish to deal with crowded restaurants and noise, but we enjoy a quiet and romantic home cooked meal.
How do you plan to spend Valentine’s Day?
You might notice a piano in the background. My Sweetheart recently gifted me this beautiful mini-grand. Its ebony finish is definitely a color of love that goes straight to my heart.
Not only do we celebrate Valentine’s Day in February, but we also celebrate our anniversary. The color of love for this special one is Golden!

Beautiful Pam! I love your happy table with colors of love with pink and red! Your tulips and gorgeous candlesticks are a pleasure to see during this dreary January. Your plate stack looks perfect with your AC tablecloth Your collection of accent plates are so pretty and add that special touch as do your special treats that grab our attention.
I am excited for you to see your new piano! How wonderful! I would love to see you play.
Pam @ Everyday Living says

Rita C. says
Oh, Pam – golden!! You two must’ve been teenagers when married!😘I noticed that baby grand right away and thought, “I’ve never seen that before!” What a gorgeous backdrop it made for your beautifully traditional table! You have such a well-curated inventory of china, I’m sure it was easy (then again, maybe really hard?) to select what to arrange on that pretty AC tablecloth. I do love seeing the crowned heart on each of your Valentine tables. The little b/b plates you’ve collected to set between the ruby red salads and sherbets are really pretty, very complementary. Pam, here’s to loving hearts, your 50 years, and celebrating the best of all traditions – a marriage that lasts from beginning to end! Thank you for participating in this hop, and ask Butch to save just one shortbread cookie for me.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Rita, your well wishes truly warm my heart. I am spending all my time playing my digital mini grand! Not only do I have the sound of a grand piano, but can add all the orchestral sounds if I wish!
Thank you ♥️

What a special gift from your guy! My table for the hop is not traditional, but typically I would be using reds and pinks and hearts. Well, I did use red and hearts. Ha! Ha!

Oh, Pam. This post brought tears to my eyes when I saw the piano! What a beautiful gift of love! I want to be there to sing around it. I love velvet hearts, the cookies, and the floral bread and butter plate with gold trim the best! The verses of love! This is what life is all about! All of the decor blesses and warms my heart ❤️. We haven’t received Dad’s results. I closed on my house and after much work, I’m going to rest in God’s love as I wait for the 8-10 inches of snow. I’ll probably be out of pocket many days once I start moving. I love you all so much and appreciate your prayers and love too! Please take care! ❤️❤️💕🥰🙏🏻
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much sweet friend! Please take care of yourself and don’t overdo with the new house. I would love for you to sing around the piano with us. Love, prayers, and hugs ♥️🙏🏻🎶
K.L. Hale says
You’re so welcome, Pam! We haven’t heard back on Dad’s biopsy yet. Today is my last day in my house and I’ve tried not to overdo it. I think most things are ready for my AR friends to come help load the Uhaul for official move tomorrow. It’s all so exciting; yet, bittersweet! I’ll have to move my internet service. It may be a few days before I’m “up and running”. I love you all so much and am sending many prayers and hugs! Please take care! 💕❤️🥰🎶
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Praying the move will be easy. Take care sweet friend ♥️🥰🤗🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Continued prayers for your dad 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Now getting back to your tablescape….I love the pretty plate stacks, especially the unique smaller plates. I agree with you about the colors of Valentine’s Day, 100 percent. Our kitchen table is decorated with pink, red, and white, but I went off the rails a little for my post. :O
What I love best about your table is the April Cornell tablecloth. It can be used for so many holidays and events throughout the year! I do love it.
Thanks for sharing scripture in your post. It’s making me smile!
Happy Valentine’s!

Pam, a table which includes plaid and candy hearts warms my nostalgic heart. It certainly brings to mind plenty of wonderful Valentine’s Day memories and, in a sense, brings about a childish playfulness for me. I love all of the red and pink and adding all of the wonderful treats like beautifully decorated cookies and chocolates really adds to the many expressions of love through the years and all those boxes of heart-shaped chocolates! Your tulips are gorgeous and lifted my spirits immediately, especially for someone living in such a cold and snowy climate. I adore your exquisite plate stack of classic patterns. Definitely, it adds to the feeling of romance of the table with the help of candlelight. Happy Valentine’s Day.
