Happy Monday dear friends. I am so glad you are here for a special edition of Monday Morning Blooms!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.”
Proverbs 25:11
Lidy, Mary, and I are excited to share with you the newest book from the editors of Victoria, The Art of Beautiful Tables! If you love gorgeous table settings, dining alfresco, and enjoying afternoon tea, this book is a must add to your collection!
Not only do you get a glimpse of some of the beautiful pages, you have an opportunity to enter a giveaway. Victoria has graciously provided each one of us with a book to give away to one of our readers. Please read to the bottom of the post for details on how to enter.
I have been subscribing to Victoria Magazine for years, and yes, I keep all of my old issues. I also have most of their book publications…I am definitely a fan! When my book arrived, I was so excited to open its pages and just take in all of the cherished tableware, luxurious linens, and stunning bouquets. The book is divided into seven chapters…Elements Of Style, Alfresco Gatherings, Lovely Settings, Teatime Occasions, Holiday Celebrations, Tastemaker Tables, and The China Cabinet.
Can you imagine spending an afternoon at this charming table, in its lovely garden setting, and with an eye-catching arrangement of tulips?
In a kaleidoscope of colors and vivid patterns, a display of Sevres-inspired porcelain is breathtaking!
Long-time readers know how much I love creating an alfresco table. With autumn being my favorite season, this polished picnic in the Scottish countryside offers an enticing setting for guests to gather and linger. I could easily spend hours at this inspiring setting!
As summer fades into autumn, caramel tones grace this beautifully appointed table. The elegantly designed dinnerware patterns of Gold Oak and Game Birds are by Julie Wear!
A Blue and white breakfast nook is casual, but still refined. It is a delightful space to enjoy the first meal of the day!
I would be ecstatic to enjoy tea and macarons in this setting befitting royalty!
Inspiration for a handful of the most popular observances on the calendar are included in the chapter on Holiday Celebrations.
A table for two tucked into a garden laden with dainty treats is the perfect setting for a daughter and her mother to celebrate Mother’s Day. I always look forward to setting a table in the garden in memory of my beloved mother!
I am so thrilled that my dear friend, Lidy is a featured Tastemaker in The Art of Beautiful Tables. Her impeccable taste and French style is evident in all that she does. Beautiful vintage linens, sparkling crystal, and antique dishware grace her stunning tables.
As a designer, antiques dealer, and owner of French Garden House, Lidy’s tables are true works of art! I am happy to be in the company of my talented friends, Lidy and Mary, for our Monday Morning Blooms!

Pam, This book sounds absolutely delightful and inspiring! Congratulations to Lidy on her feature, as she is certainly one of the gracious hostesses of blogland, and I think you and Mary would be perfect as tastemakers in the next edition! I have followed you all for a long time and never come away disappointed but instead inspired. My favorite flower? I don’t know! All of them! Lily of the Valley is special as it reminds me of my mother–I remember them sweeping through her flower beds in the Spring–but I also love my peonies (I plan to dig them up and carry them away on my lap if I ever move!) and daffs and roses and of course hydrangeas and lilacs–all in my yard now. We certainly don’t have as long of a season for al fresco dining as you do (it was 21 this morning) but I love seeing your outdoor tables. Thank you for this opportunity and for all your inspiring posts. Linda

The book looks amazing! My favorite flower is the simple buttercup. I love that they are one of the first flowers to announce spring, and right next to the buttercup is the hydrangea, which is both simple and elegant.

Hi Pam. What a lovely book. My favorite flower is the hydrangea. Unfortunately, I live in South Texas and they don’t grow here. Thank you for all the inspiration.
Donna says
I love to use roses and peonies on my table. Thanks for the lovely chance to own this book.

The book looks amazing. Tulips are my favorite to use in many different settings and vases. I use greenery with the bouquet. I get the Victoria Magazine and follow on Facebook. I enjoy the magazine and get different decorating ideas. I set my dining room table for each season. Thank you for a chance to win.
