Happy Thursday and last day of November! Did this month just fly by?!
“And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.”
Luke 2:7 ESV
My Monday Morning Blooms friends and I are excited to collaborate with Lynch Creek Farm once again to showcase their wonderful Christmas centerpieces and also offer a fabulous ONE DAY GIVEAWAY!
You will find Mary’s and Lidy’s links and the giveaway details at the bottom of this post.
The ‘Away in the Manger’ centerpiece is an important reminder of the true meaning of Christmas and was my reason for choosing this new Lynch Creek Farm centerpiece.
It celebrates the nativity beautifully with a gorgeous water globe that lights up with a gentle sparkle. The elegant bronze globe sits atop a bed of fresh noble fir, cedar, and white pine with accents of natural pinecones, gold berries, gold ball ornaments and gold bow tucks.
Lynch Creek Farm is a family owned company, established in 1980 by husband Andy Hunter and wife, Tracey. In the beginning it was an organic vegetable farm selling produce to farmers’ markets in Washington state. The farm sells dahlias during the summer months and produces the highest quality evergreen Christmas wreaths and centerpieces during the holiday season. They don’t cut down trees! Their sustainable practice of trimming branches for their boughs, without cutting down trees, helps protect their local forests and their fragile ecosystems.
As soon as I saw the centerpiece I knew the beautiful gift of ‘Bethlehem Christmas’ dinnerware from Lydia’s House that I received in 2016 would be perfect! There are 8 different designs that share the birth of Jesus according to the scriptures. That year on Christmas Day began a tradition that still continues. The plates are placed in order of the scripture. As we go around the table each member of our family reads the scripture on their plate. It is a beautiful way to share the true gift of Christmas – Jesus! Last year a reader ordered the dishware and shared that her mother loved the gift.
Glittering gold angels playing instruments create a symphony of music for the table!
The gold cake stand from our 50th wedding anniversary celebration was turned upside down and the centerpiece perfectly fits inside. I enjoy styling a table with memories that I can share!
Ralph Lauren placemats, gold chargers and flatware, plaid napkins paired with red ones, and Noritake ‘sweet swirl’ dark blue iced tea glasses complete each place setting.
Years ago my talented husband wrote a beautiful melody and penned words to a Christmas song that he titled “In A Manger”. I have shared the words before, but they are worthy to be shared again. I am a bit prejudice, but it is my favorite Christmas song!
“It started like any other night as shepherds kept their sheep,
The darkness changed to a guiding light come see the Prince of Peace.
Call his name Emmanuel, the Savior is born for you,
The angels sang, the announcement came, God’s promise has come true…
Chorus
…In a manger in Bethlehem, there lies a stranger in a foreign land,
Heaven’s joy in a manger makes my heart sing,
Holy love in a manger, Christ the King!…
…It started like any other night, too dark for me to see,
But then I found His glorious light, this Child was born in me.
I call His name Jesus, the Son of the highest is come,
Now we all can have His gift of life and worship Christ the son…
Repeat chorus:
Bridge:
…A gift of love all wrapped in grace, His Spirit is His seal.
With ribbons of joy and hope, for whosoever will!”
Repeat chorus:
Words and music: Butch Richardson
This beautiful centerpiece will last three weeks with regular misting and watering every three days. With the centerpiece and freshly cut cedar decorating our chandelier, the dining room smells like Christmas!

What a beautiful song your Butch composed! I think I enjoyed that more than the tablescape. I got caught in the lyrics. Your tables are always something to feast one’s eyes upon.

Thank you, Maureen. The song that Butch wrote has a beautiful melody as well as lyrics. He is requested to sing it every year at church!
