Happy Monday, sweet friends! When I think of the greatest event in the history of the world, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, my heart overflows with joy!
“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?””
John 11:25-26 (ESV)
I braved a cloudy, slightly cold, and windy day to set my first outdoor table of the year!
It is Monday Morning Blooms with my friends Mary, Lidy, and a special guest. Our common theme for this edition is Easter.
We welcome our lovely guest Sarah from Hyacinths for the Soul. She has been our guest many times and always shares beautiful blooms and stunning vignettes. You will find the links for Mary, Lidy, and Sarah at the bottom of this post.
With a trip to three grocery stores, I was able to pick tulips, alstromeria, and a sweet smelling filler of large bullwort, also called lace flower and false Queen Anne’s lace. To those blooms I added daffodils cut from my cottage garden and budding blooms from our Japanese Magnolia tree.
While waiting for our garden to fully awaken from winter sleep, I set an Easter table by the woodlands! Along with the joyful thoughts of celebrating the gift of Easter, I think of a delightful and sunny spring afternoon spent outdoors! After attending our church service, family will join us for lunch and a fun time of hiding Easter eggs for our three grandchildren!
Easter is early this year, falling on March 31st. The table was set with a spring and Easter theme in mind. Spring salad plates were chosen from my ever growing supply of dishware. Springtime comes to life on the Williams Sonoma salad plates that were offered several years ago. Do you enjoy the first sighting of a hummingbird in springtime?
In early March, when everything is still brown, RM’s rye grass that is sown in late summer/early fall looks like a green carpet. It makes a spring backdrop for an Easter table.
The Kate Spade tablecloth features Japanese magnolia blooms on a white background. You can see two of my Japanese magnolia blooms in this photo…one is leaning over the table!
A sweet bunny plate, however I don’t feel too kindly to the bunnies that like to feast in our garden! Our oldest granddaughter, as a four year old, was concerned that I would bake one into a pie. I assured her that I wasn’t a Mrs. McGregor!
A couple of moss bunnies came out to play!
“He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
Matthew 28:6 (ESV)
Egg cups are holding chalk eggs collected many years ago from Cracker Barrel, can you believe it? I used to find sweet table accessories in their gift shop. Maybe I should stop in occasionally to check on what they have.
I love the details on each plate!
“Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime.”
~Martin Luther
“Behold Him there, the risen Lamb
My perfect, spotless Righteousness
The great unchangeable I Am
The King of glory and of grace
One with Himself, I cannot die
My soul is purchased by His blood
My life is hid with Christ on high
With Christ my Savior and my God.”
~Charitie Lees Bancroft (vs 3 “Before the Throne of God Above”; written in 1863)

Good morning Pam, What a beautiful combination of flowers in your green vase! The daffodils are such a cheery addition and I’m so envious of you Japanese Magnolia blooms! Love the lacy addition of bullwort, I’ve never seen that at my grocery stores. Butch’s carpet of lush green rye grass in the background underscores the green of your sweet bunnies and vase perfectly. Those are some of my favorite WS plates for spring with their assorted images. We can mark our calendars and usually see the first hummingbirds return around April 15th but don’t see a lot of activity at our feeders until late summer. Thank you for the flower therapy this morning…it’s always a treat to share blooms with you and have a virtual seat at your table. Happy Monday. 🌸🐇🌷💚
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Mary. I had never seen the bullwort at the grocery stores, it has a nice sweet scent! Enjoy your week! 🐰🌸💚🌼

What a feast for the eyes and soul today! I guessed after Butch showed your raised beds full of daffodils that you would use them for MMG. But, the mixture of japanese magnolia, tulips, and I thought Queen Anne’s Lace, and the sweet altromeria are beautiful. The lovely green of the rye grass is a gorgeous backdrop. I love the plates each so delightful. I saw some chalk painted eggs in an antique shop this weekend and I was tempted.
Each scripture and song were a balm for my soul.
Lovely post, my friend. Bonnie
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Bonnie. I certainly was happy to have daffodils in bloom so I could use them. Hum, chalk painted eggs in an antique shop, were they expensive? Wishing you a lovely week!
Alice Genzlinger says
Had not heard “Before The Throne Of God” therefore I just listened to it. He captures of my heart. Beautiful presentation today. The rye background is gorgeous. It’s the perfect ending to a table set with everthing I love. The vase filled with flowers from three trips to different stores turned out better than any florist. Chalk eggs, Williams Sonoma plates, yellow napkins and green bunnies.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Alice. I love the words to the hymn, we sing it often at church! Wishing you a lovely week, with perhaps a touch of spring!
jeanie says
It would be lovely to set an Easter table outdoors but not happening here! Yours is lovely. I really do love your plates and the flowers are so cheery!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Jeanie! It is a warm day, but our March weather is unpredictable!

You have set a pretty Spring/Easter table Pam and the background is perfect by your woodlands. The WS plates are lovely contrasting your cute green bunnies. I also love your vase of beautiful flowers and the Japanese magnolia blooms and daffodils are spectacular. It may have been overcast, but your photos are perfect as they are. Thank you for sharing your table with us this bright and glorious Monday morning. God Bless.

So beautiful Pam, the rye grass in the background really makes your outdoor Easter table pop!
Your pretty flower arrangement sings Spring and I love the green vase. Those moss bunnies are adorable~ I had to smile when I read your words, “ever growing” dish collection, I have sworn off shopping, I simply have too much “stuff!” I do love the sweet bunny plates with the fresh tulip and the egg cups with Easter eggs. I know your grands will be excited for the Easter egg hunt, I miss those days, my grands are too old for that now 🌷
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Jenna, every time I declare I will not buy another dish, I see a beautiful one that I think I need (ha, I don’t) Jenna, I can’t believe how your grands have grown up! 🌺🌷🌸

So beautiful, Pam! I would so love to join the bunnies at your table. Spring is slowly and softly coming to us here in California, in between rainy days we have sunny ones. Our little hummingbirds are busy in the garden, although there aren’t too many blooms for them.
Your floral, arrangement is so pretty, and I adore the color of that pink magnolia flower. The Williams Sonoma plates are just about perfect for spring! If my dish cabinet wasn’t so full, I’d be oh so tempted! Like Jenna, there just isn’t any more room. 😊always a blessing to join you, Mary and our sweet friend Sarah for our Monday Morning Blooms! Xo Lidy
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Lidy. It will probably be a few weeks before we see a hummingbird. I understand no room, I am there. It is always fun to share MMB’s!
Karla Hale says
Oh, Pam, you, Mary, Lidy, and Sarah, know how to make a Monday in March! Pam, you have such an eye for beauty–it lives in YOU (that’s why!). I LOVE the Woodlands background. You are NO Mrs. McGregor (tee hee). How cute! Bunnies steal my heart–but they must leave the good things be! If only we could train them. The moss ones, and the egg and egg holders, are amazing! I’ve found many gifts at Cracker Barrel before. I love their gift store (and their food)!
The arrangements are stunning and the hummingbird plates are precious! Yes, the first sight of one makes my heart flutter! It warms my heart that you braved the cool and windy air to create amazing tablescapes for us to enjoy! I’m sure your family, including the 3 GRANDS who will find the hidden eggs, enjoy your gifts and talents!
Also, I want to thank you for the verses and quotes you always use–they hit a home run each time! They always resonate in my heart and soul!
I’m so thankful for our Savior–WHO LIVES!
Sending love, prayers, and blessings always, Karla💕💛🙏💐🐇
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Karla. I was so happy to see you here. I will definitely make it to Cracker Barrel gift shop this week to see what they might have, but I don’t need anything! The grand girls especially love all of the pretty things, WL not so much. They will all enjoy hunting eggs. Yes, He loves and we serve a risen Savior! Prayers, love, and hugs my sweet friend 🙏🏻🌸💚🤗🌺🙏🏻🐰🌷🎶💜
Sarah Anderson says
Pam, I immediately pinned your vase of flowers. What a gorgeous mix! Then you seat us alfresco with that gorgeous woodland view. You garden loving girls certainly know how to get my heart singing on this first Monday morning in March. Thank you for inviting me to join in. You each inspire me and it’s always an honor to be among these Monday Morning Blooms posts. Thank you!
I’m going to reach for my own set of green bunnies in the next week or so. They always make me smile! Your table setting makes me smile in a big way. I love the thought of looking cross your grounds from “my” place at your table with the charming spring plates and my own single tulip stem. How special and how perfect!
Happy first Monday in March, Pam. All the best to you and Butch as you head into a lovely spring season.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Sarah! It is always special to have you join us for MMB’s. How I would enjoy you having a seat around my table! We could talk for hours dear one!
Roxanne Bernard says
Good morning, dear Pam! What an exquisite arrangement and it definitely sings Spring!! The chalk eggs are so pretty, and I love the hummingbird plates. A group of us from church usually ends up at Cracker Barrel for brunch…the shopping is still good! This season of Lent is somber, yet so full of joy too. In the Anglican Church all the alleluia’s are removed from the service and hymns, then on Easter morning the church resounds with the sound of them.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Roxanne! I bet your group from church has a grand time around the table at Cracker Barrel. I can hear the laughter now! I can only imagine the Alleluia’s as they ring out on Easter morning, what a joyous sound it must be! I hope you are having a lovely Monday!

One of my favorite hymns. Your flower arrangements are always so pretty. I have a large garden here in Michigan and take flowers to church spring thru fall. . Have you ever shared how you do your arrangements? I do ok. Some are perfect and some I’m still fussing with as I sit them on the Communion table. I am always looking for good ideas and I am sure that you have a few. Love your and Butch’s blog.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Hi Vicky, I use chicken wire depending on the vase. It keeps the stems in place. Have you tried it? What joy to furnish flowers from your garden for the communion table! I haven’t had any classes, I just keep working until it is pleasing to my eye. Thanks so much, Vicky. If you have more questions, I will try to answer them!
Sarah says
Back for another visit to sit at this wonderful spring table. The days are zipping by and Easter will be here before we know it. I’m still playing with my dishes and bunnies in preparation for our upcoming tablescape hop, but realized I need to sneak in a St. Pat’s table before that. All fun!
Happy Sunday!
