Happy Tuesday, sweet friends! I hope everyone had a delightful Memorial Day Weekend. Ours was a little different than usual, and we are enjoying a wonderful extra-long weekend!
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV)
Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer! Let’s get into the summer mood by reviewing ten summer tablescapes!

A red watering can filled with sunflowers (grown from seed) says it could be August in our Appalachian Foothills!
My table checks all the boxes for color! I used the cheerful April Cornell table square as my inspiration!
I was thinking outside of the vase for a mix of blue hydrangeas, yellow daisies, pink roses, red alstromeria, and Queen Anne’s Lace!
Why can’t a vintage, large Clabber Girl Baking Powder can be used as a vase? Tip: It makes for a fun table when you choose an unexpected element!
We love that bees are constant visitors to our garden. Bees are here because of the flowers! Flowers are here because of the bees!
I baked a honey tea loaf to celebrate our pollinator friends — the bees!
A beautiful ‘Jacobean Garden’ tablecloth by April Cornell inspired the tablesetting!
Stunning hydrangeas came from my friend’s hydrangea farm! You can view the farm here!
We have been growing zinnias from seeds for several years. They make a lovely bouquet all by themselves by placing them in bottles! No arranging necessary!
An explosion of colors for this garden table…with ice cold watermelon for a hot, sultry, August evening! Tip: Don’t be intimidated to play with color on your table!
Once again gorgeous hydrangeas… Snowflake, Invincibelle Spirit, Let’s Dance Moonlight, Annabelle, and Macrophylla!
My paternal ‘Grandmother’s Flower Garden’ quilt is the star of this table!
A Flower Arrangement From the Summer Garden
A plaid seersucker tablecloth definitely speaks of Southern summers!
Gardening is hard work! One of its rewards is cutting flowers for an arrangement!
A rustic picnic table next to our woodlands provides some shade for alfresco dining. Outdoor tablescapes can be simple and not fussy because nature is always stunning!
A vintage Waverly sheet was used as a tablecloth! Tip: Sheets, coverlets, drapery panels, scarves, and throws will all work beautifully as table coverings!
Hint: Rather than a flower arrangement, assemble flowers and fruit for a table runner! Small glass jars made perfect containers for zinnias and sunflowers cut from my garden!
The runner is kept low so as not to interfere with conversation! This is an easy centerpiece, no experience necessary!
Welcoming Summer With a Garden Tablescape
The cottage garden provides a lovely backdrop for a summer table!
English country ‘cottage rose’ table square by April Cornell accents Hydrangea Arborescens ‘Invincibelle Spirit’ placed in an Arthur Court seeded glass canister!
Mark your calendar…I will be joining 18 creative table stylists on June 11, for a Summer Tablescape Blog Hop.
Thank you for your visit and gracious comments. Wishing you a joy-filled week!

Good morning Pam! I’m like everyone else, cannot possibly pick a favorite!
I love the “table runner” idea and the beautiful quilt especially. I planted 5 1-qt hydrangeas last fall with zero expectations, but they have exploded this spring! Hope you and Butch are having some great R&R. Hugs!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Roxanne. Congratulations on your hydrangeas, that is fabulous. We are on our way home now, it was lovely! Hugs!
Leslie Anne Tarabella says
Queen Anne’s lace is just the prettiest and makes every bouquet better!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Leslie Anne and I agree!
Alice Genzlinger says
Your imagination has no equal nor your talent. As others have said I have no favorite but love them equally. Color is key. My heart says that the colors in Heaven are going to be unexplainable. I saw a post on birds recently and the colors and designs God made were so beautiful it almost brought tears to my eyes. Butch has and eye also for color and I look forward to “seeing” what he finds in nature in his walks. Beautiful weather but storms are destroying peoples lives. Stay safe❤️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Alice, your comments encourage and warm my heart! I agree the colors here will not compare to the ones in heaven! We are driving home from a beautiful mountain getaway, and God’s creation is always breathtaking! The storms have been terrible 🙏🏻
Nancy says
Hope can I choose? Each and every tablescape is exquisite! They are colorful because of your gorgeous linens and china. The Bee-Cuz table is quite lovely as your bee dishes and your honeypot are darling!
Thanks so much for the inspiration! I plan on refreshing my dining room table today. Thank you for the inspiration!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Nancy for your encouraging comments. I know your dining room will be beautiful!
Karla says
Happy Tuesday Pam (and Butch),
I’m so happy to be here today. I have a Pinterest board titled, “Pam’s Place” –and RM–we know you’re a huge part of this place–but you know how I love alliteration! How can I choose a favorite? The baking powder vase idea hit my heart. I love combining vintage, and antique, with all the colors and patterns you have! The BEE-CAUZ table is amazing! Yum to the loaf too. There’s a simplicity I love about the bee plate. Using fruit and flowers is the “runner” a spectacular idea, Pam. How do I choose? All your flowers, home-grown with love and from a local farm, the Woodlands, the amazing red watermelon table with colorful stemware. I noticed ALL the stemware in every pic. You pair everything so beautifully. They each represent God’s beauty and the things on Earth that we can use to accentuate HIS beauty–including the truth of HIS words.
It’s been an up-and-down world, my dear friend. But through it all, HE never fails and here we are, a day after the holiday, rejoicing that we can celebrate together once again. I love you dearly and pray every day for all of you. 🤍💜💐🐝🌺🌻🌸🌼🌷🌹🪻🪷
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Karla, I must look up your Pinterest board with my name 🥰 I also love mixing vintage into a tablescape. Sweet friend, using fruit and flowers is so easy and then you can eat the fruit! You are always in my prayers and in my heart as I think about you and pray for good days that you will feel like enjoying God’s creation! Enjoying the outdoors, taking walks, and just to listen to birdsong and see the sunsets that our Father paints! I love you dearly! 🙏🏻🐝🌸💛💐💕📖💙🙏🏻

Will you ever run out of brilliant ideas or storage space? What a delight our visit is today. I must
get me some Invincibelle Spirits to enhance the gardenscape…may we have the source for your friends
farm? Napoleon knew what he was doing when he chose the bee for his logo and your dish testifies to
the fact the bee is all that is needed to add the elegant note. Your collection of goblets is awesome and
each a perfect complement to your settings. Thank you for the treasure trove of inspiration, Pam dear.
