Hello sweet friends and Happy first Day of October, my favorite month!
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

Orange and black were my go to colors for a Halloween Critters and Treats Tablescape. Three large orange pumpkins were used as the centerpiece for our three grandchildren!
Treats are the most important part of a Halloween table.
Miss Owl is wearing fashionable autumn leaves for her ears! The darling critter plates were the inspiration for the table and I found them at Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago.
We live in the country and seeing wildlife is part of our everyday living. Wild turkeys are plentiful and seem to love a rainy day. On those days we have seen as many as 50 turkeys in our pasture! A turkey wearing his autumn plaid is looking rather handsome. I found the cute felt critters at Dollar Tree and gave them to the grands after the party.
A patio party of No Tricks, Only Treats was planned for my granddaughters who were ages five and two at the time. Our grandson was only five months and he just wasn’t interested in parties. However, he loves a party now at age three!
A sweet Halloween tray is perfect for mini cupcakes that little girls love and so do big girls!
Festive fans were hung from the pergola by my Renaissance Man also known as “Da” to the grands!
A hand-carved Jill-o’-lantern served as the centerpiece. She looked fetching wearing her orange and black boa. Poor Jill had lost all but two teeth, the carver was a little knife-happy!
A Grand(s) Halloween Party was enjoyed by the children and the adults! Long-time readers know that I am a grateful grandmother of three precious grandchildren!
Three large pumpkins were used as the centerpiece. The girls’ pumpkins are wearing their hats and a John Deere cap is a favorite of WL!
Our sweet daughter-in-love did a great job on the balloon arch. It was extremely windy and a few balloons took flight over the house! The children loved the snacks!
S’mores oven-baked waffle cones were a big hit!
EM and EK dressed as princesses and WL was wearing his spider man pajamas. As you can see, WL was bored with the picture taking and was ready to eat!
In 2019, I finally decided to join the group of blogging friends for a Sweet Treats: Halloween Tablescape. Halloween is not my favorite, but it has been fun decorating tables with the grands in mind.
The picnic table was a perfect spot for my first Halloween table with hay bales and pumpkins in the background!
I didn’t have any Halloween decor, but I was able to find a few things at TJ Maxx. I ordered a spider web tablecloth, checked napkins, and spider napkin rings.
There seems to be no in-between…you either love or despise candy corn. I happen to love it!
I will be joining sixteen table stylists for a Halloween Tablescape Blog Hop on Tuesday, October 8. It promises to be a lot of fun!
Thank you for your visit and gracious comments. My prayers continue for the thousands of fellow Southerners impacted by the devastation of Helene! The horrific videos across the Southeast of the destruction of entire towns and communities are heartbreaking. The loss of loved ones, homes, and businesses is unfathomable. Not only do we pray, but we must ask ourselves what we can do to help.

All such adorable Halloween tables, Pam. I’m in your camp on candy corn, and I have also grown to appreciate the Halloween fun with J in mind. My adult daughters LOVE the holiday, and the oldest has hosted an adult party with her husband for years! I’ll always a place to pass along my decor items, lol.

Thank you, Rita. I am looking forward to the hop!

Adorable Pam! Your tables are spooktacularly set with your sweet grands in mind! I adore the fall critters as well as the balloon arch your daughter-in-love created. Looking forward to hopping with you next week! 🧹🎃 🍬
Our internet was restored yesterday (yippee!) and we’re so thankful we didn’t lose power like so many others around us. Praying for our NC neighbors as well as those in Ga, Tn and Florida who lost homes and family members. We passed a convoy of about 30 trucks that were heading up to the mountains yesterday. God bless the linemen, relief workers and volunteers providing help and aid.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Mary. I am looking forward to the hop.
So glad internet was restored. I saw on TV yesterday where there was a caravan of mules loaded with goods going up! Yes, God bless all those who are working so hard to offer help!

Samaritan Purse that is part of Franklin Graham’s ministry always welcomes your monetary donations and he helps worldwide. He is currently helping those that are in need from Helene.
Best picture of all time of the grands. WL is precious and had no problem letting you know that he is bored silly and wants to eat! The princesses are growing so fast and both are beautiful young ladies! Love the carved pumpkin girl with two teeth. She won’t get to eat much of the treats. Thankful you received rain.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Alice. Samaritan’s Purse is a wonderful organization to send a monetary donation. They are all over the world when needed.

Good Morning Pam. Oh my gosh that spider web tablecloth is just adorable. Love that. The treats in the jar is pretty cool too. Glad you got some rain I know you needed it down there. Even with it being October 1 we still are having summer here in the midwest. I am ok with it even though I want the color changes and fall to get here. We up here all know what follow fall so the longer the summer hangs on and then fall the better. Have a great week. Hugs. Kris

Thank you, Kris. Happy Wednesday!

Pam, Your Halloween tables are festive and fun! Your felt turkeys and owl are so cute. We know the grands had so much fun after the pics were taken. WL is a cutie pie sitting there in his spider man pj’s. The girls look so pretty in their princess dresses. The balloon arch is a wonderful touch and the hanging discs too. I love candy corn. I’m ready for October! Enjoy your day. Clara❤️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Clara. You are always so sweet. I am doing my best to limit myself on the candy corn! Happy Wednesday ❤️

Pam, I’m a candy corn fan and also one who embraces the whimsical decor for Halloween. I love the Jill-O-Lantern with her festive boa. What a cute idea! The plates are adorable, as is all the decor on these tables. I suspect the grands enjoyed seeing the balloons take flight. It must be so special to have grandchildren so close that you can create these special times together.
Yes, keeping all of the thousands of folks who have been impacted by the destruction of Helene. It’s unbelievable to think of the mass loss for so many.
Looking forward to our Halloween Tablescape Hop next week.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Sarah. We are thankful the grands live so close. I look forward to next week’s hop!

Pam, that is such a fun table and is done with such flair! I love candy corn and will admit walking into WalMart and eyeing those enormous barrels of orange puffs with longing. The expression on Will’s face is priceless; I’m sure having two big sisters will bring on that look a lot. Agree with Alice about Samaritan’s Purse. I have seen their enormous trucks attempting to navigate their way into Asheville on our local news this morning.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Roxanne. Samaritan’s Purse is always on the ready. We feel most confident in giving money and knowing it is used correctly. Take care!

The pumpkin wearing a feather-boa hat caught my attention. Who would think of adding that wonderfully-creative floruish except you, Pam! Halloween isn’t among my favorite holidays either, but I’d come to YOUR party, just to enjoy in person that fun tablescape!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I would be delighted for you to join me. If you could visit, I would prepare a tea table rather than a child friendly Halloween party 🍂☕️🍂 Wishing you a lovely weekend, dear one!

I don’t know if it’s because my birthday month is October, or what, but I love decorating tables for fall and particularly Halloween. I also enjoy looking at them, and this one is loads of fun. I love your flatware! I’m going to have to look for something like that. I also like the way you displayed your popcorn mixture in the apothecary jar. I have one similar, so I’m going to try to remember that.
Karen (Back Road Journal) says
I really like the critter plates and the cute turkey on the pumpkin. It has to be so much fun for your grandchildren to see what you have created each year for Halloween.
