You will find the links to all the participating bloggers at the bottom of this post. Special thanks to Chloe @ Celebrate & Decorate for being our gracious hostess.
“No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow.”
-Unknown
We have had so much rain that you have to be on ready to take photos if you happen to get a sunny day. Last Saturday was beautiful, especially as the sun was pouring through my dining room windows at mid morning.
I paired pinks and blues for a pastel tablescape after discovering this blue paisley tablecloth hanging in the back of my linen closet. It had long been forgotten. You would think I would be organized and have an inventory of linens and dishware, but organization is just not my strong point!
The only pop of color is the rouge-colored vase that jumped into my cart at TJ Maxx a few weeks ago. Flower ingredients…white Fuji mums, white hydrangeas, and pink alstroemeria.
The lovely vintage Noritake floral china with its beautiful soft flowers, scroll work, and gold edging was found last year by a friend who knew I was looking for a vintage floral pattern. American Atelier “Baroque” ironstone chargers, blush dinner plates, Noritake soup bowls and cups/saucers with gold flatware and vintage Fostoria stemware complete each place setting.
I discovered the flower candle holders while in Highlands a couple of weeks ago. I decided to walk away and think on them for a few hours. I ended up buying two pairs!!
A few sweet bunnies wanted to be featured for this spring tablescape, after all we see them often in spring and summer nibbling on the grass and clover.
“Despite the forecast, live like it’s spring.”
-Lilly Pulitzer
“I must have flowers, always and always.”
-Claude Monet
I need to research more to find the pattern name for the Noritake dinnerware. The marking on the back has a “M” inside a wreath and indicates it was made between 1911 -1940. The M represents the family name “Morimura”. I know I should have already sent a photo to Replacements for identification. If anyone knows, please leave me a comment.

Soft and elegant describes your table. The bunnies are so sweet and have so much personality. I like your new candle holders and how nice to have a memento of your trip.
Your vintage china is beautiful and looks so elegant on the layered plate stack.I also like your etched glasses. Vintage items add so much charm. I hope you find out more about your china.
Happy Tuesday. Spring is coming even if it seems slow.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Several people have emailed me about the china, I will research when I have more time. Thank you Bonnie!

What a calm and beautiful tablescape you’ve created, Pam, in the soft pinks and blues (this could easily work for a baby shower too!). I love your new candlesticks, and that’s a good example of going with your instinct so as not to regret the “sorry I didn’t buy” we often feel, especially after a destination shopping trip. Your Noritake is so delicate, so pretty. I don’t know the pattern but I’m sure someone will chime in. Those cute bunnies could be representative of EM and EK. They remind me of them! I must say, I love the quote from LP, “despite the forecast, live like it’s spring!” It is raining yet again today here. You were fortunate to seize that morning sun for your photo shoot. It’s invigorating. It’s such a pleasure being in your company on this and each hop we are on together!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I thought the same thing as I was setting the table…perfect for a baby shower! Thank you Rita!
Ann Krucek says
Just beautiful, Pam. You always take dining to the next level for me! So elegant, I truly do not have an elegant bone in my body, so I have to live this vicariously through you!! Your table is gorgeous, along with your wonderful floral centerpiece. It is such a pleasure to hop with you, you are always inspiring!! Happy spring!🌸
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Ann. You are a sweetheart!
Debbee says
Pam, such a pretty and inviting table, and I love all your quotes about spring and flowers! So many, many wonderful details on your table. Like those fabulous new candlesticks! And, I am swooning over that vintage china —- what a find! It pairs so beautifully with the stemware (did you find it or is it passed down?). Like you, I used antique dishes in my spring table with no idea the pattern name. It’s frustrating! Such a nice rediscovery of the lovely tablecloth too. You’re a hard act to follow, lol!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Debbee. The stemware was gifted to me from a friend of my beloved mother!

A lot of Noritake like this is labeled “mystery pattern” by Repacements, but they love to have a reference photo of ours for their file. They assign it a number. I have a pattern similar. Yours is esepcially lovely with all the gold and pinks. I love what you’ve done with your table! Julie W
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much Julie. I need to continue the research!
Carole @ From My Carolina Home says
Beautiful, the pastels are so pretty! I looked in my china book, but couldn’t find that exact pattern. It is similar to several that Noritake made over the years, close to N4326 and N4145, but not an exact match. Good luck, maybe Replacements can help you identify it.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Carole!

Pam, I’m swooning over your pretty vintage china! I love the sweet floral pattern and the delicate teacups. How I adore that pretty blue wall color! When things settle down, I’m planning to paint my sitting room this color. All of the shades of pink on your table look so pretty with the blue walls as a backdrop. Happy Tuesday, sweet friend!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much sweet friend. I can’t wait to see your sitting room!

Your pretty paisley blue tablecloth was certainly a happy find in the back of the linen closet.I love it when that happens! So glad you went back for those candle holders! They are perfect! It is always dangerous to walk away, often the thing is not there when we go back.
Whatever the name of the dish pattern is, it is very beautiful for sure. Your table gives me all the Spring fills. Happy Spring!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much. Happy March!

Pam, Your candle holders are beautiful & a wonderful gift from your Highlands, NC anniversary trip! They will be used often as they are so versatile. Love your recently found tablecloth; isn’t it amazing how things get “lost” in the closet? It happens to everyone no matter how well organized you are! It’s always rewarding to make such a find. Your tablecloth is a perfect Spring base for your lovely tablescape. The bunnies are adorable. Love your raspberry pitcher filled with such pretty flowers. I don’t know the pattern name of your Noritake pieces but they are certainly delicate and wonderful vintage pieces. Have a great day! Clara ♥️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you sweet Clara. I am so glad I went back and purchased the candle stands. I am trying to be more thoughtful before I make any new purchases. I need to purge rather than buy. I always look forward to your visits. ♥️

Pam, so love the beautiful Spring table of pastels. You always set a most wonderful table incorporating the new and old. I am so glad that did not leave those gorgeous candle holders behind!!! Thinking of you and hope the horrific weather is not affecting you!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Shirley. We have had lots of rain, but no tornadoes.
Marsha says
Pam, the delicate pinks and blues really complement your gorgeous china. It is so heart-warming to see how the use of beautiful vintage dinnerware like yours are still used, appreciated and thoughtfully designed in stunning tablescapes like your Anticipating Spring table. So often I see how china sets are given up to thrift stores and forgotten. Your table proves how they can be brought to life and use, especially with your Easter bunnies and classic flower candle holders. The streaming sun shining into your dining room makes me have a warm and fuzzy feeling. I also love the little quotes about Spring. Definitely, it is needed as we are watching the snow fall outside our window today. So sweet.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Marsha. You are a delight dear one!

Pam, I am crushing on your pretty pink plate stack! Each individual piece is so very pretty. I wish I could help you with the Nortiake china. It is really lovely. Those candlesticks caught my eye right off the bat. Excellent find! Isn’t it fun when you find a something you forgot you had, and it feels like you have something brand new! When it comes to organization I feel like I take one step forward and three giant steps back!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Maureen. I am glad to know as am not the only one with organizational issues.

Your Noritake reminds me of the china my mother gave to one of my daughters. I should show her your table to remind her to get the china off the top shelf and use it! I like that you have kept your table so soft and without frillls.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks Linda. Maybe your daughter will use the china.

Pam, this is such an elegant and soothing tablescape! I loved it at first site. Those candle holders are so unique and beautiful, and I love the hugging bunnies you added as well. You did a beautiful job with the color scheme and place settings. We’ve had gloomy days here, too, so I can relate to waiting for a sunny day to take photos! Happy to be hopping with you!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Crissy. Happy Spring!
Chloe Crabtree says
Pam, how delightful the pinks are to celebrate the coming spring! I admire your self restraint, as you saw those lovely candleholders and didn’t buy them immediately. I am so glad you went back and picked them up as they are lovely for on your spring table. It is so great that you looked in the back of your closet and found that gorgeous tablecloth. It looks similar to a Ralph Lauren one that I have, but have not used yet. Happy Spring!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Chloe. A special thank you for your time and energy investment in another successful hop!

Understated and elegant… Just love the soft vintage settings and bunny appointments. I think my original comment got lost in cyberspace, so I’ll be understated as wel,l this time around.

Hello Pam – I always enjoy your posts, however I had to comment on this one in particular. Your Noritake is beautiful and is similar to both of my Grandmothers’ patterns. Both sets of Grandparents were married in the mid- 1930’s. I’m sure Replacements can ID it for you. Thanks for sharing this beautiful table!
