Happy November sweet friends. I can’t believe I have already said goodbye to my favorite month. I used to wonder why older people were always saying the year was passing so quickly, now I understand.
“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.”
Isaiah 26:3-4
It is Monday Morning Blooms with my friends Lidy, Mary, and Shirley. You will find the links for their beautiful floral creations at the bottom of this post.
“In November, the trees are standing all sticks and bones. Without their leaves, how lovely they are, spreading their arms like dancers. They know it is time to be still.”
-Cynthia Rylant
On November 16th, we are partnering with a luxurious linen and tabletop company to bring you beautiful tabletop inspiration to help you celebrate and make your holidays special. This company will be offering a most gracious and luxurious giveaway to one lucky reader. So stay tuned!
All of my garden flowers are now gone with the wind. I still had zinnias and dahlias blooming but Zeta took all of those. So to the grocery store I went, but the selection was kind of sad…mums, mums, and more mums! I did find a package of gerber daisies and eucalyptus to mix in. I keep seed pods and feathers in my box of autumn goodies. Using wet foam, I arranged the flowers in an American Atelier tureen.
Spring, summer, and fall I am usually in the garden for Monday Morning Blooms. Today finds me in our family room.
Velvet pumpkins with natural pumpkin stems moved from the Sunshine Cottage to the coffee table.
Love the feathers!
Orange-cranberry-almond scones from Trader Joe’s are a perfect pick-me-up with a cup of coffee or tea. Better still with a cup of cappuccino.
“The wind that makes music in November corn is in a hurry. The stalks hum, the loose husks whisk skyward in half-playing swirls, and the wind hurries on…A tree tries to argue, bare limbs waving, but there is no detaining the wind.”
-Aldo Leopold

Pam, As much as enjoy joining you in your garden, it’s a treat to visit you in your beautiful home! I’m wild about your rug and your mix of patterns and fabrics! Your arrangement of mum and daisies are so cheery and bright and your pods and feathers add wonderful texture and interest to your arrangement. I adore your velvet pumpkins, especially the feathered one. I wish I had an orange-cranberry-almond scone to go with my coffee this morning. As always it’s a treat to share blooms with you on these Mondays. Looking forward to your Thanksgiving table tomorrow! Happy November ♥

Thank you Mary. It is funny as I have gotten older, I change things less. I used to redecorate every room in our house every 3 or 4 years. The family room has been the same for almost 20 years and I still am happy with it, so no need to change.

Oh how I love seeing your beautiful floral creations in the setting of your most beautiful family room! I know what you mean about the selection of the grocery store flowers; however, you have so wonderfully selected the perfect combination flowers and pretties to create an gorgeous arrangement. A most beautiful Fall vignette on your beautiful table…love those velvet pumpkins…and I am sad that I cannot have a wonderful scone this morning!…Have a most beautiful day Pam. So enjoyed the feeling of sitting in that beautiful room with you and joining you for great flower inspiration of our Blooms Day!

Thanks Shirley. It would have been so nice to have you join me for scones and coffee. I love sharing MMB’s with you lovely ladies!

So beautiful! I, too, love seeing your sumptuous interior. I love color and your room, with your mix of fabrics and that rug, is right up my alley. I wonder if you could answer a question for me? I have a chair upholstered in the same blue fabric as your chair and drapes. I have no idea of the fabric manufacturer or pattern name. I have spent countless hours searching online with no success. Do you happen to know the fabric manufacturer and pattern name? I also wanted to share how much I appreciate that you share your faith with us. We can see your loving heart in all you do. Thank you and God bless!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Good morning Sandy. You are the first one to mention you have the same fabric. I have had this fabric for about 20 years and have never tired of it. I know it is a Raymond Waites pattern, but I don’t remember who the manufacturer was. You might search Etsy for Raymond Waites fabric and you might possibly find it. Happy Monday to you!

Pam, this is just wonderfully cozy and spot on for our weather yesterday and today – windy, with trees more and more defoliated, our first frost….but nice and warm inside, with sweets treats of foods and words for the heart. I love it all, and the captions too. Your rich colors in your living room, the pumpkins, the arrangement – very lovely, even if they’re not from your own garden. I cannot wait for the details of your giveaway!! You four will have designs outstanding in their own rights, I can be sure. Happy Monday, my friend.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Rita, we are expecting frost overnight. The wind has settled, so it should be heavy. Thank you for your kind comments. See you tomorrow at the hop!
Roxanne Bernard says
Pam, your indoor arrangement, beautiful photos, and amazing quotations were the perfect start to my cold morning! We awoke to an unpredicted 29 degrees. Your beautiful room is exactly to my taste, full of color and texture. That rug!!! 💕
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks sweet Roxanne. We are expecting frost on the pumpkin in the morning!

The Aldo Leopold writing reminds me of my childhood. Raking leaves and smelling the wood fires coming from the country houses and knowing Christmas was getting nearer. The old oak trees trying to hold on to its leaves but the acorns falling on the ten roofs let you know that Winter isn’t far behind. After school my job was to rake leaves until mama called me in for supper and often it consisted of hot biscuits.(those orange cranberry scones look Devine) often having her homemade jams to go along with them. Oh Pam, what memories you often cause me to enjoy. Happy Monday dear.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Alice, you know how much I love for you to share your memories. Raking leaves until mama called you in for a supper of hot biscuits and homemade jam sounds so wonderful. My Mama made the best biscuits, so light and fluffy. Feel free to share those precious memories with us always!

Such a beautiful fall arrangement! My velvet pumpkins are still packed from our move. We don’t have a coffee table, dining table or end tables yet, so no place to display. them!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Penny, without the furniture you don’t feel that you have to decorate. Enjoy the rest and less stress!

Brrr Pam, this is a great morning to be cozy in your living room enjoying an arrangement of bright zinnias, dahlias paired with pretty velvet pumpkins to remind us of the season! I love the quote from Sarah Addison Allen about the world looking like it is covered in a cobbler crust of brown sugar and cinnamon! November means unpredictable days, some warm, some cold, some windy and some rainy, we have to enjoy beauty when and where we find it and the last hurrah of blooms from your garden has to make you smile at the memories of your beautiful summer garden! Happy November 🦃
Jenna

We are entering my favorite month, November! With the trees donning autumn colors, and Thanksgiving on the way, cooler days and nights, and the first fire in the fireplace, it is time to grab a cozy quilt to snuggle under with a good book. I got out my turkey collection yesterday. Have a safe and happy November.

Beautiful coffee table arrangement. Would like to be sitting with you having a scone in your beautiful home. Love that French lamp on table. I have at least one lamp of such in every room. Just purchased another French signed lamp yesterday in an antique store. Getting a chair reupholstered in fabric like your rug.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Nancy. I would be honored if you could join me. I have the lamp’s mate on the other side of the sofa. This pair of lamps are signed and I found them in the back of an antique shop years ago.
