Hello dear readers. Can you believe Valentine’s Day will soon be here? Today I am joining more than twenty table stylists for a Valentine’s Day Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by Chloe from Celebrate & Decorate.
“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:13
How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? Perhaps it will be very different this year. However you celebrate the occasion, it should be marked with Lots of Love!
I have set a table for four, even though it will be just the two of us. Our plans will be the same as always, Valentine’s dinner will be spent at home. Many years ago we decided we would avoid crowded restaurants and have a quiet evening at home.
You will find all the links for beautiful Valentine’s Day tablescapes at the bottom of this post.
The centerpiece was my inspiration for the table. I used the flower arrangement in yesterday’s Monday Morning Blooms “Valentine’s in The Sunshine Cottage.” Plates in graduated sizes were stacked using floral foam between each one to elevate. Preserved moss was used to fill the space between the plates. A treasured Limoge plate was placed on top with a vintage transferware pitcher holding red and pink roses, pink and white carnations, alstroemeria, baby’s breath, and eucalyptus.
A gold crowned red velvet heart and a pink depression bowl of Hershey’s kisses are the perfect additions for a Valentine’s tablesetting! The plate stack is a mix of new and vintage plates with Rose Chintz by Johnson Brothers holding the top spot.
A beautiful pink cashmere scarf, a gift from a dear reader, was used as a table runner. Tip: Scarves make ideal runners with endless possibilities. The scarf was topped with eucalyptus, baby’s breath, and pink rosebuds…simple but elegant.
A set of pierced votive holders add the ambiance for a romantic dinner.
“If I had a flower for every time I thought of you…I could walk through my garden forever.”
-Alfred Tennyson
I love the Crown Linen Designs ruffled placemats that work with almost any tablescape. Vintage silverplate flatware with wonderful memories attached and pale pink napkins with tiny silver beading complete each setting.
“How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
-Elizabeth Barrett Browning
“And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
Colossians 3:14

Pam, Your mossy stacked plates with pitcher makes a beautiful centerpiece for your Valentine’s table. I adore your plate stack atop your ruffled Crown Linen Designs placemats~ so versatile! So smart to use a pretty pink scarf as a runner for your table too. Wishing you lots of love this Valentine’s Day. ♥

Pam, How romantic and beautiful your table is! I love your Rose Chintz and your plate stack is so attractive. The Crown Linens linen placemats are so elegant and add a very special touch. I liked knowing your flatware have sentiment attached. Our memories are to be cherished and I’m glad you shared that.
How sweet your pierced votives are and your velvet heart with the crown is gorgeous! But the pièce de resistance is your centerpiece of mossy stacked vintage plates with your sweet transferware vase of flowers.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I am so glad I could make one centerpiece and be able to use it twice. As you know, flowers are hard to come by these days. Thank you Bonnie.

We prefer staying home, too. My dear, sweet husband always tells me no other food tastes better than my homecooking, and it is getting to be such a hassle to even try to go out to eat anywhere in these crazy times. Also, you hear so much about restaurant food, and at home, we know what we are eating and know that all is clean and made with an ingredient no restaurant can serve – LOVE . Home is just where we would rather be. I love your ruffled placemats! So pretty!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Good morning sweet friend. Thank you so much. The love ingredient at home is the best. Wishing you a Happy Tuesday!
Rita C. says
Pam, that soft cashmere pink scarf sets the perfect tone on your table – luxurious, cozy, romantic. I love how you’ve taken the Rose Chintz and taken the softer side of it to play, while Mary chose to go with deep reds. Your pierced votives in cream, the pink napkins, white matelasse cloth…all work to make a romantic, soft look. I love the plump velvet heart centered on your creative centerpiece display. What a great design, and so nice that the timing enabled you to use for Monday morning blooms and this table. We are like you & Butch (literally, lol), we’ve always chosen to stay away from restaurants on Valentine’s Day, and maybe go out on an alternative day. But we know that’s not happening this year. I am so thankful for having a home I love being in, and it certainly shows you feel the same. Thanks for sharing your love of home with us with your lovely table. Happy February!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Rita, with flowers being so hard to come by, I had no choice but to use my MMB’s centerpiece again. I am so grateful that I could use the Sunshine Cottage for one and the dining room for the blog hop. I do love my home. Can you believe we have lived for forty two years?
Roxanne Bernard says
What a beautiful table with the pink scarf and the beautiful pierced votives. Your scripture and quotations are very uplifting this morning. Do you have a menu planned? I need some new ideas after a year of eating at home for a solid year. We never like the restaurant madness either, but I would love someone else to prepare a meal right now!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
My menu will be grilled rib eye, mushroom risotto, Caesar salad, focaccia bread with olive oil and red velvet cupcakes!
I would love someone to prepare a meal, also. I am tired of my cooking!
Penny at Enjoying The Simple Things says

Yet again, the moss between the plates is a wonderful idea. It brings a organic feel to the table. I can’t wait to try this idea.
Such a beautiful way to spent Valentine’s day at home, instead of out with the crowds.

Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Rachelle, I am so glad you like the centerpiece!
Alice Genzlinger says
We always stay home on Valentines because of the crowds that try to eat out. I agree with Cheryl. Home is best by the fire eating what we made with what love.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Eating by the fire sounds perfect, Alice!

Yikes, auto correct added what.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Auto correct can be wonderful but also a menace!

Your Valentine’s table is beautiful Pam. The tablecloth, placemats and napkins look so crisp and pretty with your plate stack, soft green glasses, and silverware. Your MMB arrangement is a perfect centerpiece along with your gorgeous velvet heart. The intricate votive candles look like they’re Lenox and are so lovely lit. Staying home for Valentine’s day is a tradition for us also but during Covid19 a must! Happy anniversary and Valentine’s day to you and Butch. Have a wonderful day sweet friend! Clara ❤️

Clara, I hope you are having a lovely week. The votives were ordered from Wisteria many years ago. I am so sorry they closed, it has happened to so many places.

Pam, what a lovely, romantic table! I especially love your unique and wonderful centerpiece. You’ve raised the art of layering to a new level. I also set the table for 4 but it will just be Mr. Buzz and I. But, we will enjoy multiple meals there between now and Valentines Day. Once we retired, we did start going out for dinner on the holiday as long as it didn’t fall on Friday through Sunday. I do enjoy the treat of a restaurant meal, and sure miss going out.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Debbee. I have missed being able to have dinner at a restaurant. Happy Wednesday!
Linda Primmer says
Pam, love the stacked plates with moss and then your beautiful pitched filled with nature’s bounty. A table for 4 sounds perfect. The Crown linens look so pretty with your rosebud china. I love your puffed hearts as I have them too. The crowns are icing on the cake. The scarf is a lovely addition with the baby’s breath, eucalyptus and roses. Such a romantic table. Candlelight and chocolates complete this Valentine table. Always a pleasure to visit.

What a great idea to stack the plates as a pedestal for the flower arrangement. No question we will be home not only because of Covid but because I learned years ago that remembering to plan for Valentines was too much for the hubby.

Pam, your stacked plated floral centerpiece speaks volumes. The fresh bouquet really is stunning and sets the table for coziness and romance. The Rose Chintz pattern is my favorite is the perfect example of Valentine’s Day love, especially paired up with your lovely pink roses and baby breath on the table The ruffled placemats add to the feminine elements on the table. I agree….scarves make the ideal table runners. So many options to use. Your Valentine’s Day table is a classic. It is great hopping with you once again.

Pam, I was crushing on those ruffled Crown Linen placemats on Bonnie’s table, so I was thrilled to see them again on your lovely table! They are the perfect base for your feminine plate stack. My best friend has the JB Rose Chintz plates, and I’ve always admired them! Your centerpiece with the stacked plates, moss and floral arrangement is a real show stopper. I love the pink transferware pitcher that holds the flowers. And how clever to use a cashmere scarf as a table runner! It’s the perfect shade of pink, and really ties everything together. It was fun to hop with you again. I hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day at home with your husband!
