Hello dear friends. I hope you all enjoyed the first weekend of April. It was a beautiful weekend but a bit cooler than normal. As I prepared my table outside last week, it was impossible not to notice that my surroundings were undergoing wonderful changes. There were new leaves, new buds, new blooms, bees buzzing, birds building nests, and many other creatures out and about. Spring had arrived and it was another day and another moment to celebrate life! Today’s post is just one way that I’ve chosen to join the celebration!
“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?””
John 11:25-26
I always look forward to to the first and third Mondays of each month as I join my Monday Morning Blooms friends for flower therapy!
Our common theme for this edition of Monday Morning Blooms is Easter!
You will find the links for Mary, Shirley, and Lidy at the bottom of this post.
I love setting the picnic table during springtime. It is next to our wooded area, or as one reader called it our woodlands. I may start using that descriptive word, I rather like it. The area is shaded and normally breezy. On this particular day, it was in the 60’s and I needed a light jacket, much preferred over extreme humidity and temps in the nineties.
Spring has been late this year because of several March nights in the 30’s and even below. Our Lady Banks roses were bitten by frost, as well as the Bridal Wreath spirea. We are still hoping there will be some blooms on the Kwanzan cherry tree. Fortunately, there were blooms that I could cut…snowball viburnum and alliums! It is a really simple arrangement and was put together in ten minutes. A floral April Cornell tablecloth was used for its complementing colors and a vintage majolica pitcher was the choice for the flowers!
Our snowball viburnums are blooming, but not as prolific as normal. The blooms are also smaller. I am just excited we have any blooms at all this year.
RM planted the allium bulbs last fall with a little help from our granddaughters. Their foliage was frost bitten, but the blooms have been beautiful.
Pasture Bunny salad plates (discontinued) from Pottery Barn several years ago, gold flatware, and stemware with colors of peridot, amethyst, and citrine dress the table!
Some of my photos, like this one, show the green majolica dinner plates! I decided to remove them for some of the photos just for a different look. Bunny ear napkin rings add a whimsical element to the table.
Bunny poses!
We have a large rabbit population! They are so cute as long as they don’t decide to feast in my garden.
Easter, like Christmas, has become extremely commercialized. I love all the sweet bunny decorations and the traditional Easter egg hunts as much as anyone but Easter is so much more than those things. We celebrate Easter because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. His bodily resurrection enables all those who choose to follow Him assured victory over our greatest enemy…death!
An outdoor setting has challenges such as insects, dust, pollen, wind and maybe even a visit from a bird or squirrel! It is worth it however to be surrounded by God’s magnificent creation. That takes my simple table creation to a new level and that not of my doing!
…O God of our salvation, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas; the one who by his strength established the mountains,…
~From Psalm 65
“Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime.”
~Martin Luther
Easter is always a special day for our family. After morning church services, we will gather at our house for a late lunch and an afternoon Easter egg hunt. It will be a joy to see our little ones as they find eggs with tiny surprises tucked inside! In case you missed my Easter table last week set in the dining room, you can click here for an easy centerpiece idea!
“The resurrection is not merely important to the historic Christian faith; without it, there would be no Christianity. It is the singular doctrine that elevates Christianity above all other world religions.

Good Morning Pam! I love your pretty table set next to your ‘woodlands’! You have such a beautiful collection of April Cornell lines and your pink blooming tablecloth is no exception. Your pasture bunny plates are so sweet and appropriate, especially since you have bunnies in your pasture. 😊 I have been busy putting out bunny guards around the clematis and tender perennials coming up to keep them from eating them to the ground. Your snowball viburnum is so huge and glorious! I’ve noticed ours have fewer and smaller blooms this year too thanks to the cooler temps and late frosts. As always, it’s a treat to share blooms with you. Thank you for the flower therapy this morning. Happy Monday. ♥
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Mary. Gardening is not for the weak of heart. It is always challenging. I hope you can keep the bunnies at bay!

Happy April Pam! Such a beautiful month to watch the flowers 🌸 and trees bloom in your “Woodlands” (love that description) Cannot believe you have such fabulous snowball viburnum blooms already…Mine are still in the very small bloom stage. What a beautiful selection of the flowers to go with your wonderful majolica pitcher…and of course your tablecloth wonderfully sets the tone for your beautiful table. Love the texture and pattern of your plate stack…the adorable bunny plates 🐇🐰 are perfect for your “Woodlands” setting. Joining you for flower inspiration is always a joy!!! Have a wonderful day and looking forward to seeing more of your Woodlands in bloom!! 🌸

Such a beautiful setting Pam, I always love your picnic tablescapes surrounded by the beauty of nature! Your color palette is perfect for Easter, I love the purples in your tablecloth, stemware and flowers in the pretty majolica pitcher. The snowball virburnam looks so stunning too, and the bunny plates are adorable. March was a challenging month, we had a taste of every kind of weather! Let’s hope April is a little calmer, however the forecast for the next 2 days is attention getting! Thank you for another wonderful Monday Morning Bloom display!

Oh Pam, I love it all! I’ve seen a lot of cute bunny plates. I even HAVE a lot of cute bunny plates! But THIS set is the best I’ve seen. Perfect with your gorgeous flowers, that happy tablecloth! Who wouldn’t want to sit down to Easter brunch or dinner at this table? The green/purple blooms are the perfect arrangement. I adore it, Pam.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Jeanie. Your comments warm my heart!

Beautiful Pam! I especially like that you created this outdoors. You have such a beautiful piece of land with lovely views. The antique pitcher with the available florals is fabulous! Those blooms are lovely. The tablecloth is a perfect color and the dishes are wonderful too!

Thanks so much, Liz. I love the outdoors and use whenever possible!

EASTER, a gift from our Heavenly Father. “Because He lives I can face tomorrow, Because He lives all fear is gone, Because I know He holds the future, And life is worth a living just because He lives.” Yes Christianity is the only faith that has an empty tomb. We can all share in His resurrection if we believe. Beautiful post showing the awakening of His earth.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Love that song, Alice! Thank you and wishing you a lovely week!
Rita C. says
What a great and simple arrangement, Pam. I’d be hesitant to pluck any blooms that were a first showing, but those alliums look gorgeous with the viburnum in the majolica pitcher. The stems are a perfect match up! I love those. Great spring color with your tablescape outdoors. And if that’s your snowball viburnum NOT in its prolific splendor, I can only imagine when it is! That’s huge!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Rita, it was one of the easiest arrangements ever. A third flower would have been perfect, but I decided to use what was blooming in my garden and not purchase any flowers. There are two viburnums, both about 15 feet!
Kris@Junkchiccottage says
Good morning Pam. Happy Monday. Oh I love your sweet bunny plates they are so adorable. Happy New Week. xoxo Kris

A Table Near the “Woodlands…” I love it!
How nice to be able to have a Bouquet that you have cut from your very own gardens. I also enjoyed seeing that beautiful majolica pitcher… it’s a beauty. And the addition of bunny plates is fun and whimsical.
I agree… we need to remember that Easter is about Jesus’ resurrection. It’s our Easter Gift.
Have a Beautiful Monday dear Pam!

Yes and Amen, Nancy! Thank you for your sweet visits ♥️

Always fascinated by your napkin ring collections and those bunny ears are the perfect complement to the lovely bunny dishes. The flowers and majolica pitcher set the stage for Easter dining and the tablecloth grounds it all in outdoor splendor.
Agree with you about the commercialization of otherwise spiritual events, but in Spring, His Creation is all that is needed to remind one of New Life ever available to those who believe. You always use His natural elements to best advantage, Pam.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Mary! Yes, creation resounds the Creator. Have a lovely week ♥️
Alycia Nichols says
HOW is it that you have such prolific growth ALREADY??!?!?!?! I need to move out of the Kansas City area! Geez! We won’t see anything even close to that until June! We’re lucky to get daffodils and crocuses this time of year. That’s IT! You are blessed, blessed, blessed!!!
Beautiful table in the splendor of nature! Truly nothing like that flower therapy of which you speak! Have a wonderful week!!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Alycia! Spring has been late this year.
FrenchGardenHouse says
Pam, every single thing about your table is gorgeous. I would take to calling your wooded area “our estate” because I always feel you live quite grand over there. Your woodland property is so beautiful, truly it’s magical. Your viburnum is what my garden dreams are made of…le sigh, it is beyond. I agree with Rita, if that is it, NOT at its best, what an amazing bloom it must have when you think it is. : )
Love your special touches at the table, and the color of the alliums…stunning! You would not believe it, Mr. FrenchGardenHouse also planted the little bulbs, and we discovered our Lab Bentley ATE them! He dug them up and ate them. Except for one that was moldy. How naughty is that?! Anyway, your table looks so wonderful and spring like. The perfect table for a resurrection luncheon.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Lidy, you are a sweetheart and your comments warm my heart. That naughty Bentley digging up your alliums, I know squirrels will dig up bulbs. Wishing you a lovely week!

Woodlands! I like the sound of that! We have a little woodland at the back of our property. I love looking out to the green space. Our winter has been severe the past two years, and it has taken a toll on our landscape. I know you can relate. Your alfresco settings always delight, Pam. You have a beautiful property. I like Lidy’s description “estate”. It does look grand! Happy Easter!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Sarah. We can’t seem to get spring settled in. We have more cold weather coming in a few days.

Pam, Your viburnum tree is absolutely fabulous! It’s happy and healthy! Your bunny plates are so cute. Your real bunnies are too but hopefully they will stay away from your beautiful landscaping. Love the gorgeous tablescape. Your AC tablecloth is so pretty and the centerpiece is perfect! Enjoy your week. Tell your sweet Daddy we’re thinking of him! Clara❤️

Thank you dear Clara. I will share with my Daddy your sweet thoughts♥️

Pam, what a beautiful setting near your woodland area. It is so impressive that you can go to your garden and put together such a beautiful arrangement. Love your snowball viburnums and the alliums together. I rarely see alliums except the Biltmore gardens. I love them. Your table is beautifully prepared with your beautiful plate stack. The AC cloth is just beautiful and your bunny plates from Pottery Barn were perfect for this table. Thank you for the message of the resurrection. How wonderful to have a personal relationship with the Savior. Thank you for always sharing your faith.

Sweet Pam, I so enjoyed my visit this morning. Everything is absolutely gorgeous! Your flowers are beautiful, and your table setting is so pretty. Easter is such a special time and is one of my most favorite holidays. Our spring has been slow to wake up this year, The redbuds, forsythia, and tulip trees are finally starting to bloom, but my snowball bushes are just starting to sprout tiny leaves. I’m so anxious for the blooms to appear. Happy Tuesday, dear friend!

So, so pretty, sweet friend. I loved seeing the Adrian Rogers quote at the end, too. My, I hadn’t thought of him in years. I used to listen to him on my way to work in the mornings. I hope the Lord will bless you and your family a happy and blessed Resurrection Day!
