Happy Tuesday, sweet friends. Autumn has finally arrived in our Appalachian Foothills! We have enjoyed the most gorgeous autumn weather for the past three days with lows in the lower 40’s and highs in the low 70’s.

I am excited to join sixteen table stylists for a Halloween Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by my friend, Rita from Panoply. You will find the links for all the creative tablescapes at the bottom of this post! Now join me for A Grand(s) Halloween Party on the patio!
To let you in on a little secret, I am not a big fan of Halloween. But, I must admit that I had a lot of fun setting up this tablescape for my three grandchildren!
Balloons are always fun and I thought they would be a great addition to the party! Our sweet daughter-in-love does a great job putting together balloon garland arch kits. It was extremely windy the afternoon we had the party and several took flight over the house!
Long time readers know that I am a proud grandmother of three precious grandchildren, two girls ages 7 and 4 ,and the youngest, a boy, age 2. The table was full of “children approved” treats!
Three large orange pumpkins served as the centerpiece with the girls’ pumpkins wearing hats and WL’s pumpkin a cap. The ‘trick or treat sign’ has been around for a few years.
EM and EK dressed as princesses and WL was wearing his spider man pajamas! You can see he was bored with the picture taking, he was ready to eat!
A John Deere cap was perfect for WL’s pumpkin. He loves tractors, trucks, anything with wheels! The older boys on the farm (RM and our son) have all sorts of John Deere tractors and equipment (big boy toys), so WL naturally loves it all, especially those that are yellow and green!
The combination of Chex Mix, pumpkin spice drizzled popcorn, mellowcreme autumn mix, and M&M’s was one of the favored treats. I sent it all home with the children so I wouldn’t be tempted!
“There is a child in everyone of us who is still a trick-or-treater looking for a brightly lit front porch.”
~Robert Brault
S’mores oven-baked waffle cones are quick and easy to make and not as messy for children to eat!
Cheese puffs are only allowed for special occasions according to EM. But, this was considered a special occasion!
The Halloween gnome plates are new this year, I knew the girls would love them. A tea party using these plates is planned for the near future with the girls and their mom. The boys will likely prefer an outing of their own.
I don’t have a lot of Halloween specific decor, but this cute pillow was a find at TJ Maxx a couple of years ago.
Pumpkin spice doughnuts were a hit, especially with me!
Sunkist was served in vintage hobnail milk glass, but when the party was officially underway, it was time to substitute a more “child-friendly” glassware!
An orange and blacked checked tablecloth appeared again this year. Placemats of orange and black on a white background, black/white checked chargers, everyday white dinner plates, and Certified International gnome salad plates join spider napkin rings holding fun Halloween napkins! Twig flatware finishes each place setting.
Orange bottles from Dollar Tree were filled with pink cosmos from our wildflower garden. I knew the girls would love the flowers on the table, especially that they were pink!
Once the table was set and balloons were in place, RM picked up the grands in the golf cart. The girls were excited about the table, treats, and the balloons. WL didn’t seem to notice any of the decor, but the treats got his attention. Our DIL said the children could go ahead and eat treats, but save room for dinner. Later, after the children enjoyed playtime in the garden, the family joined us for dinner. We indulged in our favorite pizza from a local restaurant. The sweet treats had not diminished anyone’s appetite. It was a fun evening and we sat outside long after dark!
The Sunshine Cottage is dressed for my favorite season. If you missed the cottage porch last week, you can see it here.

Pam, I know your little grands delighted in every detail of this adorable table. I love the hats on the pumpkins, and the various food treats are fun and colorful. Looks like you had a perfect day for the party and the grands even came in costume. I hate to leave this colorful party, but I’ll take a pumpkin spice doughnut along with me as I hop about the other tablescapes. Happy Halloween!
Thank you, Sarah. The grands loved it. The pumpkin spice doughnuts were delicious! 🧡
Just adorable Pam! I just love the balloon arch your daughter-in-love created to frame the door and the photo of the table with the balloons behind it! I had to chuckle at WL’s expression, he is so underwhelmed. 😊 EM and EK make adorable princesses. Love all your goodies and sweet treats and new, cute plates! The S’mores waffle cones are such a fun and easier way to enjoy the classic campfire treat! I love your cute Halloween pillow (like Susan’s) too. As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. Happy Tuesday 🎃 🐈 👻 🧡
Thank you, Mary. I just had to use that photo, and yes WL was not impressed with the decor, but he loved the treats🧡
What cute little children – they must have enjoyed this party with all of those special treats (I recently made similar S’mores treats!). The dishes are cute and the treat jars are a fun idea!
Thanks so much, and the grandchildren loved the party!
The littles of course are the stars of the post in their sweet costumes. Your table is adorable. I am a big fan of cheese balls and in the glass container they look so great along with your mix. Love the dishes how fun are those. Everything is so cute and fun. Have a great week ahead. Hugs. Kris
Thanks so much, Kris. Thank you for signing your name. I have to figure out why so many are showing up anonymous.
Oh Pam, I’m in love! First of all, (and don’t hate me for this!) the thing that will stand out the most for me in this post and the one I will remember and incorporate are the orange cheese puffs in the big vase! That’s the perfect Halloween treat! I love the balloon garland and those hats on the pumpkins are brilliant! Of course all the other bits are terrific — some great ideas here. I need to find a recipe for smores cones. And then your cute Halloween guests all dressed up. I love it!
Thank you, Jeanie. I love that you love the cheese puffs in the large glass vase. I sent all of them hope with the children. There are plenty of Pinterest recipes for the s’mores. They are easy and quick!
How adorable, Pam! Oh my goodness, fill ’em up and send ’em home! Lol, I can only imagine how those treats went down. They ALL look good. WL cracked me up in the photo where he’s in the chair, and EM has her hands in ballet position like the Queen she is. EK in her cowgirl boots says, “yea, I’ll be the princess but I’ll also be my own Calamity Jane”. The balloon garland, hats on pumpkins, and place settings are so perfect to delight the grands (adults too!). The view to the garden and cottage beyond are amazing as well. And that pillow is adorable, so are the placemats. They look like candy corn in the print!
Thanks so much for letting your inner child delight in this holiday. Even though I know it’s not your favorite, you’ve sure made it special for your grands and for us readers. Thank you for participating, Pam!
Thanks so much, Rita. It is fun to see the different personalities of the children come to life in a photo. We had a most enjoyable afternoon and evening. The weather was perfect. The grands played hide-and-seek in the garden until dark!
So cute and fun Pam! I love the balloon arch, so festive!! The pumpkins wearing the kids hats look so cute, and what could be more perfect for a Halloween party than a table full of treats! Your plates are adorable and I know they will be enjoyed every year by the children. It sounds like you had a very special day with the children’s party followed by family pizza night! The s’mores baked in the waffle cones are brilliant! EM EK and WL look so cute dressed up, I know they had a ball!
Jenna
Thank you, Jenna. It was a special day full of memory making. The s’mores waffle cones are so easy!
What a wonderful celebration this was for your grandchildren! The hats added to the pumpkins for them is a fun idea! Those plates are so cute, I know the girls will enjoy using them again year after year for special Halloween meals! I also love the view of your beautiful garden with all of the pumpkins!
Thank you, Chloe. We all made wonderful memories!
The pumpkin balloon arch is fantastic!
My DIL does a great job!
The pumpkin balloon arch is fantastic! And the rest of the table is perfectly kid friendly. You are so good at making special memories for your grandchildren. Think of the fun stories they will be telling their own kids!
We had a wonderful party, hopefully making memories!
You certainly cornered the market on colorful balloons and for one not a fan of Halloween, you
certainly take the prize for displaying it to perfection. Kudos to your DIL. The girls look like damsels out of a fairy tale and the little guy hero is a winner whatever he dons. Just love the hat-topped
pumpkins personalized just for them. What a grand legacy of holiday memories you and RM always provide for the family…. and for us….Bless you.
Thank you, Mary. It is important to me to make special memories🧡
Love the ballon arch and how you decorated for the grands. What a clever idea the S’mores waffle cones are.
Thank you, Karen. We had fun !
Oh Pam, the grands must have loved this table and it sounds like you had a lot of fun putting it together! I love the pumpkins with the hats and your new gnome plates are so cute. The balloon arch is such a great idea. And oh my, all those tasty treats – those waffle cones look so good. The princesses are adorable and WL’s expression is priceless. I’m glad that everyone had a great time. Happy Tuesday!
Thanks so much, Kim! It was a special afternoon and evening.
Pam, your table is so cute and creative–I know your Grands loved every treat! It is always a pleasure to join you. Blessings, Cecilia @ My Thrift Store Addiction
Thank you, Cecilia.
Pam, I am not sure what I love more, the gorgeous whimsical table or the memories you are making with your grands! The detail and love you have for your family is so evident in the details. I love the hats on the pumpkins for each grand! The candy, the plates, the balloons! Oh, to be a little again!
We had a fun afternoon and evening! Making memories is important to me and I love planning special things for our grands!
So precious and fun. Your grands are so cute. So funny about WL and his facial expression. of course the girls noticed everything. The balloon arch is magical. The pumpkins with the hats is a nice touch. Lots of yummy treats and then pizza afterwards sounds amazing! Kudos Pam for setting a special Halloween table.
Thanks so much, Linda. It was a lot of fun for me!
How fun was this! The new plates are so darn cute, as are the pumpkins wearing hats! The lovely princesses were in heaven I am sure, but WL just wanted to play with his trucks and tractors!
The balloon arch added a perfect backdrop to your table!
Such a fun party!
Happy Tuesday!
Thank you, Nancy. You have WL’s number, bring on the trucks and tractors 🍁
Halloween is for t.he kids — and the young at heart. You’ve covered both with such a cute design and yummy details. The sugar rush will carry them through until it’s time to trick and treat! Happy Halloween!
Thank you, Sandra. I think we all had a sugar rush!
Pam, your grands are all so cute! I so badly want to be a grandmother…you are blessed! I think the hats on the pumpkins is such a cute idea. I know the children loved them. The treats and how you served them look so pretty in the lidded glass jars. Your garden is gorgeous: What a setting for a Halloween party! My favorite is the balloon archway. 😀 Happy Halloween!
Thank you, Ricki Jill. We are older grandparents, we are loving every minute!
Pam, this is just adorable! For a non-Halloween person, you came up with such clever ideas. I must be hungry right now because I could seriously chow down on the cheese puffs, Chex mix, and those luscious donuts! The cheese puffs in that container look quite beautiful. I loved seeing the grands all dressed up. What great memories they will have of that afternoon. We never have any trick or treaters out here in the country, and I do miss that.
Thank you, sweet friend! Yes, doing our best to make special memories. We never have trick or treaters where we live. 🎃
How lovely to be able to welcome your grandchildren for Halloween. It looked like a wonderful day for all. The children looked wonderful and happy in their costumes and I’m sure enjoyed the treats especially since they were able to take them home. Great tablescape. Have a wonderful week.
Lynne
Thanks so much, Lynne. It was a special afternoon and evening!
Halloween is my least favorite holiday also, Pam, but love the way YOU celebrate with pumpkins and balloons, Cheese Puffs and s’mores-in-cones. Nothing scary or gruesome in sight! How delightful you were able to enjoy your outdoor tablescape until well after dark. P.S. Those three grandchildren are adorable!
Thank you for your lovely comments, Nancy!
Pam, this Halloween party for the Grands looks like so much fun. The decorations are precious, and the festive balloon arch makes the happiest of Halloween backdrops to your entire setting. The treats look most scrumptious. I would love the donuts and trail mix. Your grandbabies are adorable, and I know they will always remember this. My grandmother hosted a Halloween party for my cousins and I after trick or treating each year. It is a memory I hold dear to my heart. Happy Tuesday, dear friend!
Thank you, Shannon. I love that you shared a special memory of your grandmother!
You have done an outstanding job creating a very charming party with your grandchildren! Just the right amount of holiday orange!💖
Thanks so much, Mary. We had a wonderful time 🧡🎃
So cute, Pam!! I am sure these are the moments your grandchildren will remember – just how special their grandmother makes the holidays. Your Halloween plates are fun and cheerful – as well as the balloon arch! This table looks like something my grandsons would adore, especially with all the special treats. Thanks for sharing!! I hope the grands have a fun and safe Halloween – oh! and you as well!!
Thank you so much. I love planning fun times with the grandchildren!
What a cute child friendly table Pam. The grands had to enjoy it! There are so many neat decorations and the snacks look really tasty! I love the balloons and hats on the pumpkins. You always have the grands in mind and they are so blessed to be right next door. That doesn’t happen much any more it seems. I’m a little behind in my leisure reading due to work obligations which are plentiful this time of year. Happy Thursday! Clara❤️
Thank you, Clara. I always love and appreciate the time you take to visit with us. Don’t work too hard!
Pam, I don’t know what happened to my post, but it is simply gone. ;(. Today I was going back through all the “hoppers” to assure that I had looked and commented on each one and lo and behold, my comment was not on yours. 😒. So my apologies for being late but I adore your littles party. I know they love what gma and gpa do for them by making every day be special. I love being able to spoil my grands and spend as much time with them as I can…as I know the both of you do too.❤️ My daughter lives next door to her small grands (my great grands) and I have to admit I am a bit envious. 😍I also admire the sunshine cottage in the pics with the beautiful decor and of course one can never have too many pumpkins. 🎃🎃🎃🎃. Always fun to hop with you as you are such an inspiration. Hugs and Blessings!
Kari, I have written long comments and then poof they are gone. I have a tip that has helped me especially on the blog hops. After I type a comment, I copy and paste on my notes. It has kept me many times of having to start all over again and not be able to remember what I said.
Thank you my sweet friend for your lovely visits and heartwarming comments!
Great idea Pam….I will do that! Hugs my dear friend.
Wow what a fun table and party you created! It must be magical to the kids to get to enjoy this! The snack food choices all look delicious and those smores are the neatest! That balloon arch is wonderful and really created a great background for the party!
Thank you, Liz. The s’mores are easy and quite delicious!
What a fun Halloween party for your cutie pie grands, Pam! Your table and treats were perfect for the party, and then pizza afterwards…. Mmmmm! Thanks for sharing the fun times with us. Thank you for visiting my post 🧡
Kitty, you are so sweet. Thank you 🧡
Oh, what a fun post! I can only imagine the great memories you made with your grandkids. These are things they will cherish as they grow older. I love all the neat ideas. I am not a fan of Halloween, either, but you sure made it all so special for them. God bless you, sweet friend.
Thanks so much. It is so much fun to plan little parties for the grands!
