Celebrating Spring’s Arrival & Easter’s Blessings

Hello friends, it is the first day of spring and I am celebrating its arrival in our Appalachian Foothills! I am choosing to celebrate even though our day started out in the upper 20’s! Not only am I celebrating spring’s arrival but also Easter’s blessings.

Having to brave the cold at times these days to catch a sunrise. It also takes getting out a bit earlier as the days are now noticeably longer. We did escape the snow, but many in north-central and northwest Alabama had quite a winter storm last week!READ MORE

Autumn’s Splendor

With autumn being my favorite season, I gathered some photos from the archives and included some lovely quotes from my collection (yes, I collect quotes). The past couple of mornings have been in the 50’s with afternoons in the low 80’s. Fall is definitely in the air and I am ready!

As the sun makes its way south for the winter, sunrises from our pasture change gradually. For several weeks near the fall equinox, (and also the vernal equinox), the sun is in a very good spot for us to enjoy awesome morning viewing without any obstruction!READ MORE
