Warm greetings on this chilly morning, dear friends!  Thank you for stopping by in the midst of this busy holiday season…we’ve got a fun little surprise for you all today. You’ll have to read all the way to the end to see what our giveaway is all about!  I want to invite you in to warm up today, but we are going to make a stop on the kitchen porch first!  If you have followed Everyday Living for a while you know this porch is the entrance of choice for our family and friends, and always included our life size nutcrackers…but they marched over HERE this year to be better protected from the wind and rain (they are quite old)!

As musicians we always have music playing in our home, especially at Christmastime. As soon as you step out of your car, you are greeted with the sounds of the season through our outdoor speakers!  With this in mind, I felt it was appropriate to add the sweet carolers to the porch.  I spotted them at Hobby Lobby and knew they would be a perfect fit!  We have fond memories of the years that we went caroling to the homes of seniors, shut-ins, and nursing home residents.  So today, join me as we sing…”Here We Come A-Caroling…” and don’t forget to enter our giveaway!

Each year my Renaissance Man cuts fresh pine from our twenty acres to make a beautiful and fragrant entrance!

Home For Christmas

Welcome sweet friends and I hope this finds you getting into the Christmas spirit! My home is my refuge from the hurried up pace of life.  It is where I find rest, peace, and contentment with my sweetheart of 44 years.  Home sparks many memories of holidays goneby, and now that we have a little one in our family, more are sure to come!  Although we have been afforded the opportunity to travel over five continents and I treasure each memory made, there is no place I would rather be than Home For Christmas!

The life-size nutcrackers have a new home…our small front porch offers better protection from the weather!

Greetings sweet friends!  It feels like October is just whizzing by…and before we know it, Christmas will be here….but let’s not go there just yet!  
After returning from Aspen late Monday night, I realized I had done very little fall decorating inside the house.  The outside is all dressed in autumn finery, but not so much on the inside.  So on Tuesday morning, I decided it was time for a fall vignette in the family room!  Have a seat on the sofa for today’s coffee table talk…espresso, anyone?
