A major clearing last year, mainly removing a thicket of privet, opened up our view of a wooded area east of the house. This gave us a much better view of this large tree that I have since named the “Tree of Reconciliation”. Many years ago this tree experienced a separation and a division occurred. The Joys Of Easter

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. I love all of the joy it brings…Resurrection…New Life…Family…Food…Fellowship to name just a few!

I had planned to share an outdoor table, but the wind was blowing so hard it was impossible. Plan B was the dining room which is where we normally have Easter lunch. Most of my centerpieces are floral arrangements, but I opted for something different and really easy. No purchases were required. Using a yellow pedestal bowl, I placed a smaller bowl inside in order to elevate the rabbit. I then tucked moss all around the interior bowl and set the rabbit on top and filled in any gaps with more moss. The Fitz and Floyd rabbit teapot is part of the Herb Garden collection designed for garden enthusiasts. The tray is also part of the collection which was manufactured between 1996 and 2000. My sweet husband surprised me many years ago with all of the pieces on the table plus a tea set.READ MORE

EK Turns Three!

Happy Monday, sweet friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are seeing signs of spring. When I first started blogging in August 2014, we weren’t yet grandparents. You have been so gracious as our family has grown beginning with the birth of EM in 2016, EK in 2019, and WL in 2021. We are so thankful for our two granddaughters and our grandson. For many years my friends had talked endlessly about their darling grands, and after the birth of our first, I completely understood.

This past Saturday, our EK turned three. She was so excited about her birthday and talked about it for a month leading up to the BIG day. Speaking of talking…Emma is quite a talker and can literally go nonstop for 30 minutes, even in the playroom with nobody around! Most of the time we are in need of an interpreter.

As I have mentioned before, the blog is a journal of important events and celebrations, as well as the things that I enjoy sharing. Today we are celebrating our sweet little blue-eyed girl!

What a joy to keep Emma and Wyatt every Monday and Tuesday at their house. EK often wants to pick out her clothes for the day. Last Monday, she was in the mood to dress up and I couldn’t help but take a few photos.READ MORE
