Hello dear friends! It is the third Monday of the month which means a new edition of Monday Morning Blooms with my blogging friends Mary and Lidy. We miss our precious Shirley, and are hopeful she will be able to return soon. 

Autumn officially begins one week from today. Even though it doesn’t feel like sweater weather, I have decided it is time to get in the spirit. I love all the warm colors of autumn and a pitcher filled with gold blooms welcomes the season!

Our common theme for today was to create a monochromatic arrangement…yellow and gold flowers were readily available!

I chose this sentimental stoneware pitcher that belonged to my paternal grandmother and most likely came from my great-grandmother. I love its humble country style which is perfect for my arrangement.

Hello dear friends! It seems that weather is always a topic of conversation. We are still experiencing heat and humidity in our Appalachian Foothills of NE Alabama with no end in sight. It is also extremely dry, I can’t even remember for sure the last time it rained. It did thunder on Tuesday and it really got my hopes up, but it was a false alarm. The garden is tired and so am I. But there are still some pretties to show you. My Renaissance Man has been waging war and I will let him share his war stories a little later in the post. Join me for a short walk in our September Garden!
