Celebrating 48

Hello sweet friends. It is a very special day for us and we wish to share it with you. On this day 48 years ago, we said “I do”!

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:24‬ ‭

At 21 and 19, do kids have a clue about what is actually happening at such a time as this? Well, after 48 years, we suppose the answer in our case was…no! But thanks to God’s amazing grace we didn’t have to know everything, just the God who does!

The blue Mach I was a mess but we didn’t care. Just so it got us to the airport for a honeymoon trip to the Bahamas!

Most anniversaries have been celebrated with going to a favorite restaurant near home or even spent at home doing our own special meal and dessert (like today for example). Some years we have been fortunate to journey to a special place. Some of those we will highlight today. Our 20th was spent in Colorado but regardless of the location, all are celebrations of His faithfulness in our everyday living!READ MORE

Sunday and sunshine are a welcome combination after a cold and wet week. And so many across the nation experienced ice and snow with record low temps and major power outages. Even our neighbors in Alabama not many miles to our northwest had a snowy week!

Winter Flower Therapy

Happy cold and wintry Monday! I know much of the country has been impacted by snow, ice, and bitter cold. Last week we had a couple of warm days before the cold hit us. We haven’t seen the sunshine in quite a while and brrr…it’s cold!
