An old Methodist church in the northern part of our county stands near an active railroad. It is also near a crossing. By chance a train headed north toward Chattanooga rumbled past while we were stopped here. The whistle gave several warnings near the crossing. Pam and I wondered if the preacher had to pause the sermon briefly if trains passed during a church service? It was loud but southern preachers can be loud also!READ MORE
