Cookies & Chocolate Milk With The Princesses

Merry Wednesday sweet friends. Christmas is almost here and I have one more Christmas post to share…a very special one!

The Princesses and I extend a warm welcome to join us at the Sunshine Cottage for cookies and chocolate milk!

You might want to bring your dancing shoes.

The round table was dressed in tartans for a simple Princess Party party featuring cookies and chocolate milk. The Princesses were so excited to see all the color. Those girls love merry & bright!

Bakery shortbread cookies with a yummy icing (the oldest Princess aka the Queen is very fond of icing), candy canes, and Ghirardelli peppermint bark and chocolate caramels (which are favorites of the youngest Princess) were placed on Nanny’s (my mother) tiered tray. EM talks about Nanny often and speaks of her as if she knew her personally and spent time with her. It is proof of the wonderful impact and influence of our loved ones that the children never met or were too young to remember can have on them if we are willing to share their stories! To me, this little chapel with its showy lights is symbolic and a reminder of the true Light of the world!

The nutcracker stands guard over the Sunshine Cottage tree. When I was growing up, we always went to the woods nearby and cut a cedar tree for Christmas. It took a lot of walking in the woods to find one that was the right size and shape. I would be on the lookout year round for a tree that might be a good prospect come December. Speaking of light, Noccalula Falls Park, near our home,  is an awesome place to visit anytime but especially around Christmas.
