Happy Tuesday sweet friends. I wasn’t planning a tablescape this week, but yesterday I decided I would see what I could pull together!
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”
Psalm 19:14
Before we start thinking about all things spring, and yes bloggers are always way out in front of the next season, I thought of these “winter fauna” salad plates that I hadn’t used in a couple of years.
You might call this a quick and easy tablesetting! The burlap runner was already on the table. It gives the more formal table a casual feel, and I like that! Removing the dried hydrangeas, I placed a wooden cake stand in the center. Apples and oranges made a quick and easy centerpiece with no arranging needed. Flanking the fruit are two birch bark vases that would normally hold flowers, but I had none. I took a walk in the garden to see what I might find…rosemary and blush nandina came to the rescue.
Once I had decided on the salad plates, I knew I wanted to use the faux cedar placemats. The placemats rest upon chippy chargers and Spode “blue room” dinner plates complete the stack. Twig flatware seems appropriate for a winter table.READ MORE
