Hello sweet friends. I hope your Mother’s Day was as wonderful as possible with our current situation. My sweet hubby grilled hamburgers (a personal favorite) and we took lunch to my Daddy’s to enjoy with him. The weather has been absolutely amazing. As I keep saying, this is the prettiest spring in my recent memory. It was unseasonably cool last week with a couple of mornings of light frost. The days have been most pleasant, in the mid 60’s to low 70’s.
Not only has the spring been glorious, but so have the wildflowers. I set a very simple tablescape next to our wooded picnic area with a vase of wildflowers as the centerpiece. I saved you a virtual seat for a symphony of birdsong and the sweet fragrance of honeysuckle and privet!
“Botanic Garden” dinner plates by Portmeirion were chosen to complement the wildflowers.
