Hello dear friends! I have joined a group of creative table stylists to bring you tabletop inspiration for late summer dining and entertaining. A special thank you to Chloe from Celebrate & Decorate for organizing this fun blog hop.

We are experiencing our hottest temperatures of the season, but I braved the heat so I could share an alfresco table of zinnia bouquets!

It seems that lately every time I set an outdoor table, it threatens rain. It became very dark, but fortunately no rain. In case you missed it, you can read about last week’s rain experience here.

My inspiration for the table is the “zinnia bouquet” tablecloth from April Cornell. I saw it on the website in late spring and since I love zinnias and enjoy growing them, I just had to order it.READ MORE

Tablescape Tuesday: A Colorful Table

Hello dear readers! I have finally recovered from our 17+ hours and almost 1,000 mile drive from Fredericksburg, TX to “sweet home Alabama.” We had reservations to stop and spend the night, but we decided to keep trucking. I love vacations, but I can’t wait to get back home. I will be posting about our road trip on Thursday.

You all know how much I love color, so today’s tablescape sings of bright happy colors…yellow, red, and blue! The heat and humidity have returned, so I know you are thankful to view from your air-conditioned space.

It was so much fun to set up this colorful table. My inspiration was this tablecloth that has been in my linen closet for a long time…

…I simply pulled colors from the cloth for salad plates, glassware, and napkins!READ MORE

Tablescape Tuesday: At The Picnic Table

Happy Tuesday dear friends and I hope your week is off to a good start. Is it hot where you live? Considering where we live in the Deep South, this past weekend was quite unusual as our temperatures were pleasant and our heat index was not even close to triple digits. Much of the country has been experiencing record heat. This week brings highs in the 80’s, which is like a cold snap in July! It should be pleasant at my picnic table, won’t you join me?

The three blooming Rose of Sharon trees demanded a tablescape on the rustic picnic table!
