Happy Fall, y’all! We had frost on the pumpkins yesterday morning, and we are finally beginning to see some fall color here in our Appalachian Foothills!  We have had some perfectly gorgeous weather, so naturally I am still tablescaping outdoors…God’s beautiful creation is the perfect backdrop! I am loving the crisp mornings and the chilly evenings that this time of year brings…it’s what I call sweater weather!

Happy Tuesday dear friends! I hope you are having a wonderful autumn week so far. We finally have cooler temperatures that feel like fall and I am loving it! It was pure pleasure to set up this tablescape in the garden late Saturday afternoon with a fall breeze blowing and low humidity!

After Saturday morning brunch with a precious friend, I made a quick dash to TJ Maxx and of course, I found something. This lovely plaid tablecloth (at a ridiculously low price) just jumped into my cart.

The dough bowl is a special hand-made gift from a dear friend of our family that passed away several years ago. He made it for my Mother and I cherish it and the sweet memories that go along with it.READ MORE

Hello sweet friends. I hope you are having a good week and maybe enjoying some lovely fall weather. We are anxiously awaiting cooler temperatures this week and I can’t wait. After arriving back home on Thursday from our trip, we had a busy weekend. My sweet Daddy turned 88 on Saturday, and we are so grateful for his strong mind and good health. We celebrated his birthday on Sunday with a family dinner at our house. We had a wonderful time celebrating our Daddy and Pawpaw! He is a gentle giant, a man of godly character and wisdom. Because I wanted to enjoy the party and just be in the moment, I didn’t take photos of the tables. I did set this table late Saturday afternoon to photograph for Tablescape Tuesday. I invite you to join me for pieces of autumn.

This area has become our favorite spot for alfresco dining. The rustic table and shaded area are perfect for autumn!
