Happy Tuesday dear friends…can you believe that Easter is just around the corner? I know most of you have plans in place for this most joyous time of the year…when we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord!  For the first time since 2008, I will not be hosting our family celebration.  My sweet brother and sister-in-law will be having all of us for lunch after church!  Although I always love preparing all of my Mama’s traditional Easter dishes, I must admit that I am excited that I won’t be spending the weekend in the kitchen.  But in the spirit of Holy Week, I still wanted to do a tablescape that we can enjoy as we reflect on the true meaning!  Today we invite you to the table that is A Little Spring and a Little Easter!

Hello sweet friends and welcome to Everyday Living!  I can hardly believe that tomorrow is the first day of spring!  We have severe weather threats today, so we are watching our weatherman very closely. To kick off this season, I am joining a group of talented bloggers to bring you a Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by the lovely Chloe from Celebrate & Decorate. Spring is such a beautiful time of renewal and awakening. After the winter months that seem so bleak and colorless, I love seeing the sights of spring all over. Birds scurrying around gathering materials for their nests, trees sprouting vivid green leaves, plants pushing their way through the soil to bloom into stunning day lilies, happy daffodils, and colorful tulips…I could go on and on! And with spring’s arrival comes Easter, which is the ultimate symbol of new life.  The hope that we are all longing for is given to us through the resurrection of Jesus! With the Easter season in mind, welcome to today’s table of Bunnies & Blessings!

Tablescape Tuesday: Vintage Quimper Pottery

Hello sweet friends and welcome to another edition of Tablescape Tuesday!  I am very excited to share my new (to me) pottery.  I recently acquired from my friend, Rita at Panoply, 58 pieces of beautiful Quimper faience pottery in the “Soleil Yellow” pattern. I have long admired Quimper and am more than pleased to have added this to my collection of dishware.  I have 8 dinner plates, 8 luncheon plates, 10 salad or bread/butter plates, and 16 cups/saucers.  According to Rita, this pottery came from a single estate, manufactured sometime after 1930, likely during WWII.  It was a popular gift from soldiers, who were stationed in France, to their loved ones during that era.  Each piece is hand-painted and is made in the Brittany region of France.  You are invited to join me in the dining room for a vintage Quimper pottery tablescape! 

You all know how much I love color, the sunny yellow pottery mixes well with the red walls!
