Tablescape Tuesday : Summerscaping!

The days are longer, the humidity is higher, and everything seems a little more laid back.  That can only mean that it is officially summer!  We enjoy many dinners outside during these few months, and I thought on today’s Tablescape Tuesday, that we would take a look at some summer tablescapes from the archives.  Whether we find ourselves inside or outside, we love our summer evenings!

I was so excited with this new umbrella last year.  It was involved in a couple of storms and finally was broken.  Butch can fix it, but it is on the long, not short list of honey-dos!

We planted sunflowers on the side of the garden last summer.  The crop provided huge blooms… stay tuned for more sunflowers this season!READ MORE

Tablescape Tuesday: My Guys & Bowties

I believe we are shaped by many people we walk through life with.  Scripture teaches us to love in deed and in truth, and I consider myself one of the most blessed women in the world to have four of the most godly men I know to love me well.  And I get to call these men my family!

My Daddy has set the greatest example of contentment and wisdom.  His gentle spirit calms my anxious heart, and his godly life is truly a living legacy.  Butch is the hardest working man I know, who stands for truth no matter what it costs him. He seeks to love me as Christ loves the church and has always been the very best example of an earthly Dad to Seth.  His endless sacrifice and love for me has forever changed who I am.  My brother Mike is my only sibling, and I couldn’t ask for a more faithful and loving brother…he is just the best!  And what joy it has been watching Seth become a Father to Ella Mae.  These four men are indeed a gift from the Lord.  This Father’s Day, I want them to feel honored and loved, and what better way to do that than through their stomachs?!  Join us at our Father’s Day table!


Butch loves the color blue, so I mixed in shades of green!

For the centerpiece, I used my charcuterie board with four cobalt vases of lemon balm, two mint julep cups with moss balls, and lacecap hydrangeas for the center vase.READ MORE

Tablescape Tuesday: Weekend Showers

We are two weeks away from the official start of summer, and wow…we are already feeling the heat!  Thankfully, this past weekend, we did get that much needed rain…and we, along with our garden are so thankful!  Even Tablescape Tuesday needed a break from those temps!  I guess you could say weekend showers bring indoor tablescapes!

We’ve been on hydrangea overload lately with last Tuesday’s tablescape and a coffee table vignette yesterday, and yes, it continues today!  While they are plentiful, I plan to enjoy the color and beauty they bring to the table!  Pull up a seat and have dinner with us!


Once again the hydrangeas are the showstopper, but notice there are some pink ones that have appeared!
