Greetings sweet friends! With the cold weather, it really feels like Christmas has arrived in our Appalachian Foothills. I am back again at the dining room table, but what better place to be! We have so many wonderful memories that have been made sitting around the table…birthdays, Easter, Valentine’s Day, New Years Eve, Sunday dinners, and Christmas! It is the smiling faces, great conversations, and laughter that are the most important! In case you missed my tablescape and Giveaway yesterday, you can see it here!

Once again, I am delighted to participate in a Christmas Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by Chloe from Celebrate & Decorate. Please pull up a chair at the table for a “winter holiday!”

In setting a table, I always begin with an inspiration piece…tablecloth, china, centerpiece, etc.

My inspiration for this table was the china pattern “Winter Holiday” by Fitz and Floyd. It remains a favorite of mine with its classic and elegant design, however it was discontinued in 2013.

Hello dear readers and Happy Thanksgiving Week! If you are like me you are in the kitchen preparing for the big feast on Thursday! I do love cooking for my family! We always have a traditional meal of my family’s favorites and I sometimes try something new. But there are certain dishes I know not to change…Mother’s dressing, 4 cheese mac’n cheese, sweet potato casserole, and Butch’s rosemary mashed potatoes. There will be one final Thanksgiving/autumn table on Thursday and then it will be all Christmas.  Since I am in the middle of cooking, cleaning and decorating, it is the perfect week to dip into the archives and share 6 of my favorite Christmas tables. Take five minutes to prop your feet up, have a cuppa, and just rest. Maybe you will get some new ideas or be inspired for your Christmas tables.
