How’s your Thanksgiving week going so far?  If you are anything like me, you’re probably getting lots of quality time in the kitchen!  My cooking will begin today for the feast that we will have here in our home!  Thursday will come and go and the next thing you know we will be talking about our favorite Christmas dishes!  Isn’t it crazy how this year has flown by?  

I hope that aside from all of the planning, cooking, and preparing you are all able to take time out to enjoy family and friends!  We have been given much, and have many reasons to be thankful.  This week’s tablescape will jump ahead to Christmas, as we dip into the archives for a look at tables from previous years.  I hope y’all enjoy…I am going to turn on the Christmas station and start my cookin’!

Christmas Around Our World

If you have been a follower of our blog for very long, you know that we love to pack our suitcase and set out on a new adventure!  Whether across the US or across the world, we just love to travel!  We have been very fortunate to travel to many places and see sights that were once only a dream!  And with Christmas coming quickly upon us, I thought it would be neat to take a look at how some of my favorite places around the world celebrate!  Each place you will see is one we have visited…but not all of them during the holidays.  No matter the location, I think we can all agree that it is indeed the most wonderful time of the year.  Let’s take a look at Christmas around our world!
 
New York City is definitely a fun place to visit at Christmas.  I have made three trips to the “Big Apple” during the Holiday season and it never disappoints.  Last year, Katy went and shared her trip here and here.  The tree at Rockefeller Center is a NYC tradition!


The light show at Saks was spectacular!  People would stop dead in their tracks to look up to watch! 


And the window displays are always over the top!

A Christmas Dream

Have you started decorating for Christmas yet?  We are in the beginning stages here at the Richardson home, expecting to finish within the next week or so!  Christmas decorating can be so much fun, yet so overwhelming at the same time…because the possibilities are endless!  I love to walk into someone’s home and see their style incorporated in with the garland and tinsel!  But do you decorate your bedroom for the holiday?  It can be as simple as a new pillow or as over-the-top as the ones we will take a look at today!  

Do you remember my post “…A Long Winter’s Nap…” ?  It has been one of my most viewed posts, so apparently bedroom decorating for Christmas is pretty popular!  As I was looking around, I found a few more that are so cozy and festive…let’s take a peak!

But today, you’re in for a real treat!  We will re-visit the Caroline House to take a look at one of the most beautiful Christmas bedrooms I have ever seen!  All of the details, French furnishings, and flowers…oh my!  It is a Christmas dream!  Grab a cup of coffee, find a comfortable chair, and get ready for a visual feast!
