Happy Monday and Happy August sweet friends! I can hardly believe we are already into the eighth month of 2020. I am excited that you are here as it is the first Monday of the month and that always means it is Monday Morning Blooms.

It is so satisfying to be able to walk into my garden and cut a bouquet of flowers for Monday Morning Blooms or just to enjoy on my kitchen island. If you are a gardener, you know there is much work and sweat equity in tending a garden.

Heavenly Hydrangeas

Hello sweet friends, I hope you all enjoyed a nice weekend! Summer is in full swing in our Appalachian Foothills with heat and humidity. It is the third Monday of the month which means a new edition of Monday Morning Blooms. Welcome to the garden where I am serving iced tea with a sprig of chocolate mint for your comfort!

It appears that it was a nice pleasant early evening in the garden with a gentle breeze…

…not as it appears! I braved a heat index of 101 at 6:30 p.m. in order to set a garden table. Why, you might ask? It is limelight/vanilla strawberry hydrangea season and I wanted to show you their beauty. With three limelights, five vanilla strawberries, and two little lambs, they are putting on their best show now!

Hello sweet readers! I hope everyone has enjoyed the 4th of July weekend. I am afraid I might have overindulged with the home-made ice cream. I know that none of you would be guilty of eating too much?!
