Queen Anne’s Lace

Hello sweet friends. I have had such a heavy heart and wasn’t sure if I should post or not. God’s Holy Word always has the answers, but it seems that I often go everywhere else before I go to the One who knows and loves me best. The scripture at the top ask the question, what is good? What does the Lord require of me?

Do justice. Love kindness. Walk humbly with my God.

If those of us who are followers of Jesus would be obedient to this scripture, it would certainly change the climate of our land. May these words burn in my heart and may the change begin in me.

During the last three months of difficult times, I have strived to share a message of hope and beauty in our everyday living. It is always my desire to encourage you.

My Renaissance Man and I have become extremely interested in finding and identifying wildflowers. You may have noticed our many wildflowers in our spring Simple + Southern Sunday posts. I have made two wildflower arrangements for recent tablescapes here and here. Today I am paying homage to Queen Anne’s Lace, one of my favorite wildflowers!

Queen Anne’s Lace grows wild over virtually all of the continental United States. You will see it along roadsides, ditches, overgrown fields, or patches of disturbed soil. It is also known by the names of Wild Carrot or Bird’s Nest.READ MORE

Late Spring Garden

Hello sweet friends. It has been a while since I updated you on the garden. We had several late frosts this year and unusually cool temperatures for the Deep South, blooms have been slower to arrive. Let’s take a short walk and I will share what is happening.

Gibbs Gardens Part 2

Hello dear friends. So many of you commented and seemed to enjoy our trip to Gibbs Gardens. Today let’s return to finish the tour.
