It’s hard to believe that we have had fifteen installments of Simple + Southern Sunday!  We always enjoy putting this post together throughout the week and sharing with you the sunsets, sunrises, churches, children, and God’s creation…all which happen to be a few of our favorite things!  Always keep your eyes open to the beauty that surrounds us!

Enjoyed the waffle bar brunch yesterday at The Farmstead Pantry…waffles with kumquat goat cheese, plum butter, pears with vanilla, kumquat preserves, pear syrup, apple walnut granola, and candied bacon!! Delicious!

We kept the roads hot this past week…from Lafayette, LA to Raleigh, NC- but unfortunately not together!  Butch had a business trip to Louisiana and I had a fun trip to North Carolina. Hope you enjoy images from around home and three other states in our beautiful South!

The Peach Water Tower in Gaffney, SC is called the Peachoid and is 135 feet high and holds 1 million gallons of water.  It is undergoing a new paint job due to last winter’s harsh weather.

As I have said before, I have grown to appreciate the serenity of the winter months.  The weather may lend itself to gloom, but the beauty is still to be found….if only we look!

The somber weather matches the “Not One Shall Be Forgotten” Memorial! It was erected in our city to honor those who made the supreme sacrifice to keep America free.  The price of liberty is often high!
