Another clear but fairly pleasant late August morn, but the humidity was creeping up and I could tell it. Now it is onward to September morns, the mornings of August, 2024 being forever history! No clouds around Friday morning but still an absolutely wonderful sunrise. With a light breeze and a temp of about 64, it was a great time to get some fresh air and anticipate the upcoming day. I was out before the crows started their routine, but they were on the move with their noisy cries only 5 minutes after this moment. Hope your day starts and ends well!READ MORE

It is now becoming noticeable that we are losing daylight. I didn’t sense it very much for the first few weeks after the summer solstice. In reality, the daily changes do start out small and begin to increase as we approach autumn, so I’m not just imagining! If I stand at the same spot along the fence where I did for this August sunrise, it will be interesting to note that by early September the sun will be rising to the right of the metal post…moving on down the fence line, heading south for the winter!READ MORE
