Crossvine is a native climbing vine that produces gorgeous trumpet shaped flowers. This vine is wild and near our house but many nurseries and garden centers are now selling cultivars. Cherry Blossoms

Hello sweet friends. We have enjoyed a gorgeous spring week gardening and catching up on outdoor chores. With Easter weekend approaching, we see the beauty of new life all around our Appalachian Foothills. Evidence is everywhere but nothing rivals the beauty of our flowering cherry tree when it makes its debut!

A slightly different approach to our simple southern Sunday since we are staying mostly close to home these days. We usually feature things from the area or somewhere in the south, as well as right around our place, but today it’s all about taking a little walk!

Wild azaleas are found along the ridge near the river.

Some of the azaleas are a deeper pink than these but they haven’t completely bloomed out yet. Maybe next week! We shall see.READ MORE
