Today we find our Sunday sandwiched between the 15th of March and Saint Patrick’s Day. As I write, our meteorologists are telling us to “beware the Ides of March”. A major storm producing system which has a lot of tornado potential was headed our way, due to pass through yesterday and into this morning. I only remember one thing from Shakespeare…someone being warned to “beware the Ides of March”. I thought I knew two things, the other being a raven saying “nevermore”, but Pam informed me that was Edgar Allan Poe. I didn’t do well in literature!READ MORE

I had on socks and shoes for this particular morning stroll last week, and was definitely more comfortable than when I ventured out recently without shoes or long sleeves. A coyote walked very close to me before the sun popped above the horizon and of course, trying not to be discovered, I attempted a quick photo, but it was too dark. The coyote never knew I was anywhere around, so no doubt the wind was in my favor!READ MORE

Happy Thursday sweet friends. After a light frost on Tuesday morning, spring-like weather has returned!

St. Patrick’s Day is this coming Sunday! We have been fortunate to travel to many countries. Through our travels there are many places we would love to return and stay a wee bit longer. One of those is Ireland, the Emerald Isle! We are taking a look back on this trip from several years ago!

We sailed into Belfast, Northern Ireland but decided not to spend time in the city. Instead we opted to take in the countryside on the northern coast with its green grasses and rolling hills everywhere. It was breathtaking even under cloudy skies and misting rain. Dunluce Castle is a ruined medieval castle with extremely steep drops on either side. It has an interesting history going back to the 13th century with differing clans battling over ownership.
