June Gardening In The South

Hello sweet friends and Happy Tuesday! For the past two days it has hit 100 degrees and today promises the same. Add breezes, and no rain for a few weeks, and gardening is challenging right now in our Appalachian Foothills!!

Ordinarily, I would invite you to lace up your shoes and take a walk with me in the garden. However, pour yourself a tall glass of iced tea or lemonade and stay inside with the air conditioner!

Zinnias are blooming in three of our different garden spaces! Zinnias are one of our favorites, but unfortunately the Japanese beetles are loving them too! Another challenge!READ MORE

Dusk (Pam loves the garden at last light) on Wednesday evening did not prevent these sunflowers from anticipating the next sunrise which would signal the first day of summer. All are facing east. Creation absolutely fascinates me!READ MORE
