“By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established”
Proverbs 24:3
Have you ever made plans that are so fun and exciting that nothing can mess them up? You’ll do whatever you have to, come rain or shine, to be able to carry out those plans? On our recent trip to New England, this was exactly the case! After spending three days on beautiful Martha’s Vineyard, we planned to spend a day on the lovely island of Nantucket…and I was so excited! But one thing wasn’t looking too bright for our day on that little island…the forecast was showing rain! But there was nothing we could do about the weather, and I sure wasn’t going to let it put a damper on our day!
We had an early ferry reservation from Hyannis and departed on time for the hour trip…and boy was it an interesting trip! Within ten minutes, we were in extremely rough seas for about forty minutes! Let’s just say it was not smooth sailing! I was so glad to get off the boat onto land, but just as the forecast said, it was pouring rain. We decided to make the best of it and we had a wonderful day! There are no pretty blue skies with white puffy clouds in our photos, instead there is a different kind of beauty…ethereal looking mist and fog.
You’ll need your umbrella and rain boots today as we take a walk around the beautiful island of Nantucket! But don’t worry…later on we will dry off when we jump into a van with our own personal guide!
The tiny island of Nantucket is 14 miles long by 3.5 miles wide and is only accessible by sea or air.
