This is the Garden of Gethsemane. Pam and I were privileged to journey to the Holy Land a few years ago and were blessed to visit so many wonderful places. The garden lies near the base of the Mount of Olives. A path from the Mount passing through this area would have been the route Jesus followed riding into Jerusalem on a donkey…usually referred to as The Triumphal Entry. This event took place one week prior to Jesus’ resurrection on what is now known as Palm Sunday.READ MORE

Hello sweet friends! With February’s soon arrival (Thursday), I am thinking about gardening and springtime planting!

It was so exciting to receive my delivery of Johnny’s seeds last week…zinnias, sunflowers, snapdragons, cosmos, hybrid marigold, and butterfly/hummingbird mix!

The dog days of summer are now over, but the lazy, hazy days will linger for a while. Even with the haze, a view of Weiss Lake and the Coosa River valley from atop Lookout Mountain in the southern Appalachian foothills “ain’t bad”.
