Happy Friday dear friends! It is the third Friday of the month which means it is Floral Friday. We have some exciting news to share with you all so be sure to read all the way to the bottom of this post. I am always a little sad when the Autumn/Thanksgiving season comes to an end, it is my favorite. But of course, I do love “the most wonderful time of the year!” Today, I will savor the spirit of Thanksgiving as I share one more post before the decking of the halls begin.

Visions Of Sugar Plums

Hello sweet friends…I hope you are all having a great week! It is very cold and rainy at our house. The rain began on Sunday night and it has rained on and off since then. I so wish I could send some rain to those in California, where tragic wildfires have been so devastating…please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. The weather has made for the perfect time to stay indoors and catch up on some reading and to organize my thoughts for decorating our house for Christmas.  I have not quite settled on exactly how I will decorate the house this year, so I guess you can say I am having visions of sugar plums dancing through my head! I always look back on my photos to see what I did in previous years, so why not share some of them with you! While you pull out a chair, I will make us a pumpkin spice latte.  

Many of you have asked questions about the greenery around my kitchen door. My Renaissance Man cuts the pine and dresses the door each year. It smells just like Christmas when you walk onto the porch!

Home For Thanksgiving

Roasted Turkey.  Mama’s cornbread dressing recipe.  Butch’s rosemary mashed potatoes.  Green beans seasoned with ham.  Sweet potato casserole.  Four- cheese mac & cheese.  Cranberry sauce from the can for my Daddy. Homemade rolls.  Carrot cake with cream cheese icing, and of course pecan pie! My mouth is watering just thinking of these dishes that will grace our table on Thanksgiving Day! There’s no place I would rather be than Home for Thanksgiving, where we cook and host each year.  It’s a tradition handed down by my Mother.  The most important element will gather around on November 22…our family!  The food will be delicious and the laughter will be endless, but it is our prayer that our eyes will be taken higher and placed upon our Heavenly Father who lavishes His love and blessings upon us.
