“When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.”
Psalms 94:19
Hello my sweet friends. I hope your week is going well and you are staying inside and cool. I wanted to share a little bit of what we have been doing this summer and it has not been vacationing. I am so ready to take a trip somewhere, anywhere. Sorry, I digressed. I have put off forever making a decision about my dining room. I have loved its beautiful Mediterranean spice walls for fifteen years, yes I said fifteen. But when you love something why change just for the sake of change? If you are a long-time reader, you know I love color…my motto has always been why live in black and white when you can live in color. For years my style has been an English country and French country mix. I can appreciate and love the farmhouse look, it just isn’t my personal style. We aren’t all supposed to be the same, God didn’t create us that way! My idea is keep what you love even if it isn’t on trend, hang on it will come back. An example of that is happening right now…I have always loved floral prints, and I have them in my home. They kind of went out of vogue, but they are now everywhere. Trends change so quickly because the industry wants to keep consumers constantly spending their money.
So you probably have guessed by now, in the dining room, we are drastically changing it up! But, I just have to have a moment to reminisce!

The dining room has hosted countless Tablescape Tuesdays! The pastels of Bunnies & Blessings played well against the red walls.
I loved how the blues and greens looked in the dining room!
