It’s Fall Y’all!

When the seasons change, it seems like two of my favorite things follow suit…decorating and food!  I have seen many wonderful fall home tours focused on the colors and themes of fall…porches, tablescapes, and even mantels!  Many of you have decked out your homes and I have loved seeing your creativity!  And then there’s the glorious food…where do you even start naming the flavors of fall?!  There are a plethora of ideas out there, and today, I compiled some fall ideas that caught my eye and wanted to share them with you!  We can never run out of ideas and recipes…after all, it’s fall y’all!

Autumn In Our Appalachian Foothills

Can’t we all agree that when autumn arrives it brings with it a sense of refreshment and renewal?  The air is more crisp (although we have yet to experience that here in the Deep South), the soup is more hearty and the colors more vibrant…all orchestrating together to usher in the season I love!  Here in our Appalachian Foothills, there is no shortage of fall foliage…all within an hours drive!  Maybe you’ve heard of places like Little River Canyon?  What about DeSoto State Park?  And the world famous Berry College?  Yes, those places are all right here in our backyard…and today, we have dipped into the archives to bring you Autumn In Our Appalachian Foothills!  Sit back and enjoy the ride!

Autumn Tablescape Blog Hop: Under Our Old Oak Tree

Long anticipated autumn is here and it gives me all the feels…it’s my favorite season!  Cobalt blue skies, delicious soups, the ever changing fall foliage, and the crisp air are just a few things that make this the time of year I look forward to the most!  Every Tuesday here at Everyday Living, you are promised a tablescape…in the dining room, the garden, or on our patio with our new-and-soon-to-be-revealed pergola!  But today, I want to take you out to a place we’ve only been once…under a canopy of trees in our side yard.  There is plenty of shade, and the breeze feels just right!  Please join us under our old oak tree!

The wind is always blowing in our neck of the woods, and on this hot September day, I was very thankful for it!  As you can see, the candles were not lit, but I was hopeful!
