At our home in the Appalachian foothills, we are fortunate to experience all four seasons…and we enjoy the distinguished elements of each one!  Hebrews 13:8 tells us that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever…and He shows himself in different ways during the different seasons.  In the summer, we see the sun’s glorious light reminding us of the True Light that came into our world.  Autumn’s changing colors refresh our senses while the unmatched sunsets remind us of His faithfulness.  The winter brings a season of rest as the days are shorter, reminding us that we need Him for everything.  And spring announces that He is making all things new, with its blooms and blossoms!  And that is where we find ourselves today…spring has sprung!  The signatures of the new season are everywhere you look!  I wanted to share my favorite things about spring with you today!

What’s Your Friday Plan?

Last Monday was typical with my usual lunch visit to the gym for a workout. Monday can be a hard gym day if for no other reason than the weekend is over and we are back at it! I usually have a conversation with a guy who is a gym regular (I’ll call him Bob) and we often discuss getting the Monday workout behind us. This week was no exception as Bob and I talked it over. As he was leaving, Bob made a remark that went something like, “you know the good thing about Monday is that it’s only four days ’til Friday”. Only gym talk but this simple chit-chat brought some additional thoughts to my mind.READ MORE
