“The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made”
Psalm 145:8-9
The past week has brought warm days…cool nights…and rain free, finally! Hopefully spring weather will stay a little while before the heat and humidity of summer grabs our Deep South! We invite you to join us on the patio as we take advantage of this weather that I consider perfection!
With beautiful weather, it was time for dinner alfresco! The inspiration for this setting is the “fiesta” tablecloth that coordinates with fiesta dinner ware! Since I don’t own any fiesta ware, I mixed an array of colors for dining alfresco! If you have followed a couple of posts-How Does Your Garden Grow? and Patio Possibilities?-then you know our back yard space is about to get a complete makeover. The landscaper is supposed to get started this week! The next alfresco tablescape should look differently! Stay tuned! Colorful stack…blueberry blue, strawberry red, and watermelon green with lemon yellow napkins! My very old everyday stainless flatware with a pineapple (symbol of hospitality) design. Late Sunday afternoon …perfectly spring…warm but not hot and a gentle breeze! The peach tea was a nice thirst quencher! The sunlight on the pasture in springtime is always beautiful. The glassware is suited for this festive dinner for four!
The wild flowers are from our pasture. Maybe the correct word is weeds instead of flowers. Butter weed is prolific this time of year…love its bright and happy color The pottery with its colorful fruit is potted with petunias! It just seems to fit into our little fiesta! Eating on the patio is never complete without Oreo. He slept throughout the fun. We aren’t too exciting, apparently!! As the sun begins to set, we are so reminded of God’s grace and goodness! Do you enjoy eating outside? How often do you eat alfresco?
