“I was glad when they said to me,
‘Let us go to the house of the Lord!’”
Psalm 122:1
Sunday is my favorite day of the week. It is a day that my family worships with other believers in community. It is a day of reflection on God’s good gifts that He has bestowed on us, in spite of our unworthiness. Today, I hope you might think on the simple things in your everyday living. Whatever it may be, the often overlooked things that we take for granted could be the very things that God uses to show us himself:
A warm handshake or a hug.
A beautiful sunrise or maybe a sunset.
A child’s laughter and the joy on their faces when doing something they love.
A meal and time relaxing with family!
The sky actually appeared turquoise during the partial solar eclipse on Thursday while our Japanese maple’s color was striking in the sun’s diffused light!
The stillness of our woods from Seth’s tree stand last Sunday
Katy and her little friend Ada making “corn angels” at a Pumpkin Patch on Saturday!
Our precious friends, Charles and Kathy’s 1880’s home-so beautiful on a perfect fall day!
The intricate beauty of this butterfly that only our Father could create captured by Seth’s camera
Katy surprised me with pumpkin, lemon, pistachio, and raspberry macarons from a French bakery!! Let the birthday celebration begin!!
Cute shop in Mentone, AL with its funky giraffe!
The simple serenity of this old church
Wildflower Cafe’s fall display in Mentone
New Christmas magazines on my secretary waiting for me to enjoy!
I am so interested in what made you smile this week. Please share below!
Blessings,
Pam
“But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.
For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you
see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it…”
Matthew 13:6-7

Really enjoyed your blog. We spent the day at Mentone last Saturday. I enjoyed the fall leaves and displays. Love Wildflower Café even though we were there 2 hrs. Never again on a festival day! Ha! Keep up the good work! Stood on the foundation of the old hotel. So sad!! It was one of my favorite places!!
