“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ”
Philippians 1:6
The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, and I dare say the way to mine is through flowers. My sweet husband knows this, and often buys me flowers…just because. He doesn’t even need a good reason…just to show his love for me! He came on Saturday with a dozen beautiful pink roses in hand, and naturally I started thinking of how to incorporate them into this week’s Tablescape Tuesday! With gloomy skies, colder temperatures, and possible snow flurries predicted, I wanted to set the table with a nod to spring, but still winter appropriate!
The toile dinner plates work well with the table runner and pink roses!
The table runner also has aqua flowers among the pink, so the trio of mason jars seem to be the perfect container for the pink roses!
Aqua-colored glasses certainly worked well with the mason jars!
Pink napkins with hand-crocheted napkin rings!
Creamy white charger with the toile dinner plate!
I placed a pair of Italian-made figurines between the roses to add interest!

I always say I’m not a pink person, but swoon whenever I see it! So beautiful and how clever of you to split the flowers up into smaller arrangements!
Everyday Living says
Thanks so much, Leslie Anne! I agree with you about not being so much of a pink person, but I love to accent with its variations of shades!

How sweet of Butch to buy you roses! Timely roses too! I love aqua and it pares beautifully with pink. What pretty toile plates. Great figurines, coasters and napkin rings to embellish your pretty tablescape. Almost forgot the runner that pulled all your colors together.

I am in love with those red toile plates. I would like to buy some, but the head chef prefers solid colors for his gourmet concoctions. So, I will keep him happy.
Everyday Living says
Carol, I agree with your chef husband! But we ladies do like color and pattern, but if he is cooking let him serve on whatever he likes! You got a good thing going!
