“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit”
2 Corinthians 3:18
I look out the kitchen window and guess what I see? The faces of the happiest blooms…sunflowers! We planted a couple of short rows last year, and I enjoyed them so much that they had to make a return appearance! Last summer we planted them outside and to the left of the garden, this year we planted them behind the garden, so that means I have a good view from my kitchen window of their large blooms! Today I am combining the smiling flowers and a favorite summer refreshment…ice-cold watermelon with coarse sea salt for the perfect summer table! Join me and I will share a slice of summer with you!
The brightly colored paisley tablecloth sings that it is summer!
A couple of fly-catchers to prevent the pesky visitors!
The cute watermelon plates came from TJ Maxx last year, but I have seen them this year, also.

The stemware is one of my favorites…love their aqua color!
I paired lemon and coral napkins cinched with vintage crocheted napkin rings.

Pam, I love this happy tablescape! The garden always brings a smile, but the added whimsy of the table makes me wish summer would never end. Great assembly!
Thanks so much, Rita! We enjoy outdoors so much, heat and humidity has been tough!
Work up this morning with a head cold but the pictures of your garden and your table lifts my spirit, that is when I can stop sneezing long enough to to see it. Your hard work really paid off Pam ????
Alice, so sorry you are not feeling well, hoping it passes quickly! Thanks so much and yes it is hard work in our heat and humidity…but love the results!
Colorful, cheerful and fun tablescape. I love your sunflowers so much, and your gorgeous limelights.
Cute watermelon plates and the aqua glasses and vase sing to me.
Thanks, Bonnie! It is so hot and humid, alfresco eating is almost impossible!
Such a beautiful tablescape. This really says “summer” I think my favorite thing is the tablecloth. The colors really help pull it all together. You must have a huge pantry of dishes and glassware! I love seeing what you are going to come up with every week! Thanks for sharing at Celebrate Your Story! I am pinning this to my group board, Tabletop…I would love to have you join it, follow it and then send me a message and I will add you!
I followed you on Pinterest! Thanks so much for pinning…wishing you a joy-filled Tuesday!
Pam, your tablescape is beautiful. I love the napkin rings. Did you make those or did you buy those somewhere? Your flowers are gorgeous. I absolutely adore sunflowers. I look so forward to seeing your tablescapes. They always look like they belong in a magazine!
Shannon, you are so sweet! The napkin rings were made by a wonderful elderly friend of my Mother’s probably 25 years ago. They are a treasured keepsake! Happy Wednesday!
These bright, cheery colors are so refreshing! I just love seeing all of your gorgeous tablescapes! The sunflowers are just the icing on the cake. They are the happiest flowers of all!
Thanks so much, Shenita! I enjoy the happy sunflowers!
If I could wear that table, it would be my favorite outfit! Such gorgeous colors. Love it!
Too funny, Leslie Anne! You are welcome to the tablecloth!
I enjoyed sharing your slice of summer. In fact, after reading this I cut myself a piece of watermelon and had it on the porch.
Linda, watermelon is always perfect for a summer day!
Beautiful! Sunflowers are so happy they have to make us smile! I love your table cloth…so versatile. The lemon and watermelon colors are so perfect to add to this table. The blue stems and bottles are simply stunning. I laughed at what Leslie Anne (above) wrote. It’s so true!! Happy day to you!
Thanks so much, Kim! Wishing you a joy-filled Wednesday!
Dolores
My dear friend Pan, beautiful … beautiful as always your posts. If you do not see me around here do not think I’ve forgotten about you, it is that Antonio is in intensive treatment of chemotherapy and radiotherapy and my life is spent almost all day in a hospital.
A big hug
Dolores
Juan 14:27. Envío de amor, abrazos, y oraciones, Pam
My dearest Dolores, prayers for Antonio as he undergoes chemo and radiation. Prayers for you as you take care of him. May God restore his health and give you many happy years! I leave this scripture for you today from the Gospel of John, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
John 14:27 . Sending love, hugs, and prayers, Pam

Thanks so much, Nanette! It has been so hot, just trying to stay cool! Blessings~
Hi Pam, I adore that tablecloth and the colors of this tablescape! I’ve decorated my table for Pioneer Day here in UT on the 24th. After it’s over I am pulling out my sunflower and watermelon décor as well. Those plates are so cute and I am tempted. I really don’t need more dishes. 🙂 My son put salt on his watermelon at a bbq and his friends all teased him and said, that no one does that but your mom. I say that is not so! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
Jann, thanks so much! I thought everyone salted their watermelon until recently! We are experiencing such heat in the Deep South, so watermelon is a nice refreshment! Happy Saturday!
