“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me”
Galatians 2:20
Have you noticed a pattern on Tuesdays? It’s the summer for al fresco tablescapes! I am loving our new garden, as it is blooming and growing…and I am taking advantage! We have shared a couple of tablescapes in the garden so far and you can see them here: The Garden Edition and Broad Stripes & Bright Stars. We have also been working on the patio; it has new tile, table and chairs, and we still have more we want to do…but it may have to wait until fall or possibly next spring! We really enjoy eating on our patio, and although Sunday evening was somewhat cloudy, it was still a beautiful summer evening! Why don’t you pull up a chair and join us!

The setting is a mix of colors and textures! But the showstopper is God’s colorful world!

The stemware and matching vase was my table inspiration!

From the stemware, I pulled colors of teal, orange, fuchsia, and lavender!

From this view you see the hibiscus blooms, staked tomato plants, and the blooming sunflowers!

We love the privacy at the back of our home. There are no houses nearby…only pasture!!!

The centerpiece is cut blooms from our Rose of Sharon bush!

The showy flowers attract birds, butterflies, and obviously bees!

I have always been and will always be a fan of color!

Do you know what this little container is used for? I bought two of them when Butch and I visited Oak Alley Plantation in Louisiana! It is a replica of an antique fly catcher. A sugar water mixture is placed in the bottom rim of the glass container. Attracted by the scent the insect will fly into the glass through the bottom hole…you can barely tell from the pictures, but it is raised by little feet! Once inside, the insect cannot get out. These containers were placed on dining room tables in Southern plantation homes. You can read more about our trip here: Grande Dame.

Water hyacinth placemats added texture to the Indian cotton cloth. The hand-painted mini terra cotta pots are one of my favorite sets of napkin rings!

The bright pops of color make me smile!

As I was setting the table we had a turkey in the pasture gobbling! Butch said it is most unusual this time of year. We never know what we will see…bald eagles, red fox, deer, raccoons…we love country living! We hope to enjoy many dinners on the patio and in the garden this summer and fall!

“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver”
Proverbs 25:11

Your table is beautiful! I’m salivating over your garden in the background. How I would love to stroll through and see all your beauties! I’m with you on the love of color. Your table creates such excitement simply by the color mixture alone. Your stems and vase were the perfect place to start! Isn’t it fun how a table can evolve? That’s the fun part of creativity, I think. You’ve definitely got the gift! Blessings~
