“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
Psalms 37:4
Happy Tuesday y’all! After many days of sunshine, it looks like we are going to have clouds and rain this week! But I don’t mind a little rain every now and then, do you? Sunday afternoon was a game of dodging showers while I was setting up my little bistro table in the garden. You will notice that the table is a little different this week…we are having a tea party! I can’t wait to share these with our sweet Ella Mae! I know, I know…this tea party is a little more sophisticated than the reality of what our first one will be…I am sure it will be animal crackers and milk, but it will still be memorable! Join me in the garden for sweet iced tea and tea party dreams!

The bistro table and chairs were placed at the rear of the garden in front of the limelight hydrangeas.
Calla lilies with their architectural blooms graced the table!
The bistro set was a great find last year at Tuesday Morning! It was used here and here.
The vintage cake plate belonged to my sweet Mother and I topped it with a depression glass compote.
Sweets for the table…French macarons, blueberry scones, and red grapes!
Katy found a set of milk glass stemware last weekend at the World’s Longest Yard Sale!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver”
Proverbs 25:11
The straw “bonjour” hat has been useful for gardening…great sun protection!
Our sweet baby girl, almost 15 months old!
The Pottery Barn salad plates were perfect for a tea party. They were first seen here!
Thank you for visiting my tea party dreams! Be sure to be come back Thursday for our Blogiversary and a GIVEAWAY you don’t want to miss!

This is so sweet- I adore that bistro set you found! Ella Mae is adorable and I bet she loves having a tea party with Grandma! We had the rain last week.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks Liz! We are supposed to have chances of rain for the next 8 days, not typical of August in Alabama!

This butterfly table was a find. The theme is carried out beautifully. Love seeing Ella Mae. I have many times sat at a table too small for my proportions with bunnies, teddy bears, and dolls as our guests. That is just as wonderful and I know you will share one of those tea parties with us sometime.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Dianne, I absolutely love spending time with our baby girl!

Tea parties with grand mommy are the best! I just love being a grand mommy! Had an alone date with my 5 year old grandson last week – he ate every minute up but he will never understand how Amah loved every minute with him!
Such a sweet setting! Calla lilies and macaroons – so very adorable!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Amah, you have lots of experience! Thanks sweet friend!

Delightful post, Pam. I am smiling to see sweet little Ella Mae and think of all the good times you will have with her having tea parties!
Your table is so charming. I had forgotten the butterfly chairs and design on the table top and with the butterfly plate it is adorable. You know how I love butterflies. I enjoyed going back to all your posts you linked especially the “be still” one.
Katie scored with the milk glass stemware. Milk glass makes my heart sing and I only have one milk glass vase.
I have always wanted to go on that yard sale and it sneaks up on me every year.
Have a great week.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Bonnie, thanks sweet friend. There was a man at the yard sale with all of his Mom’s collection of milk glass for sale. I should have gone and purchased it all, but I need to purge rather than buy!

So pretty Pam! I love the way you stacked the compote on the cake plate~ I know you and that growing Ella Mae will have many tea parties in the future! You are teaching her so many wonderful things with your love of table setting, one day she will treasure your things as much as you do your grandmother’s heirlooms.

Very sweet, and so is little Miss Ella Mae! I would love to see the total layout of your property. I will search your blog to see I can find a post; if not, is that something you might have an architectural drawing of or aerial photo (Google earth?). I went back to the referenced posts, and I can sometimes see what looks like fields. It seems really big, and I’m just trying to get a feel for the amount of work you & Butch must have with your landscape. I know it must be a lot, so yes, sometimes rain is our friend! It means we don’t need to worry about watering anything, and we don’t have to be out in it. But, oh, the work that comes after! 🙂
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks Rita! We own almost 20 acres of land. All of our property was pasture when we purchased it over forty years ago. What we consider yard space behind our house includes our garden space and Butch’s workshop and a rather large storage building also. You see both of these buildings often in my garden pics. Behind garden and buildings is our back pasture that is cut for hay by a neighbor cattle farmer. Butch probably mows around seven acres. Our house faces Lookout Mountain, the Appalachian Foothills. We also have a front pasture which is also cut for hay. Butch has a very stressful job developing properties. Outside work is a pure pleasure for him, he loves the outdoors! There will come a time for sure that we can’t keep it up, I guess we move in a garden-style home. But we will go kicking and screaming. I grew up in the city, but country living is so enjoyable. There are no houses behind ours, just the river which is accessed only by our Arctic Cat! It is so quiet and peaceful! Hopefully that helps you kind of know. We built our house 38 years ago as our starter home. We loved the land and could never find it in ourselves to move!

Pam, that precious baby girl is adorable. Our baby girl will be 16 months old tomorrow. They are growing up too fast. Looks like she is enjoying her sweet tea party with you. I love your bistro set up. Oh my! How beautiful. Those grapes looked like I could read through the screen and pick one! LOL! So very pretty. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Cindy, you are always so sweet. Grands are the best blessing, and I know you know that with all of your blessings!
Kim says
It’s all beautiful, Pam. Ella Mae fits the butterfly wings on the chair at the perfect height! You two have many years ahead of doing special things together. Let the party begin! Katy found a real treasure at the Longest Yard Sale (that I’ve always wanted to go to). Your tea setting is perfect with your mother’s cake plate and other items brought from the past. How fun it all is! Happy Tuesday! 🙂
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Kim, thanks so much! I heard it over and over before Ella Mae was born, but grands are such a blessing!

Your little one is such a dolly, and what a sweet tea time you have set up. I still cannot get over how absolutely gorgeous your gardens are! That bistro table is fab, it reminds me very much of a garden bench I’ve coveted for some time now from Horchow. So charming!

Thanks so much, we love our little granddaughter! I will have to look at Horchow online to check out the bench!
