“And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever.”
Isaiah 32:17
As I have said before, I love items that tell a story….and one of the joys of tablescaping is just that…the memories that flood my mind when using objects that have a memory attached! You’ve seen many things that my precious Mother made…especially around Christmas when her beautiful ceramics are often the stars of the show! And since we love to travel, many pieces find their way into my suitcase that I get to use when setting a table! And today I want to take you to the lovely area of Provence in France! While traveling a few years ago in Provence, I saw this gorgeous tablecloth in Gordes and it was a must-buy! While we were there, we visited beautiful villages and cities in the South of France…and today we will “travel” there again with a piece of Provence that evokes such sweet memories!
*
Early evening in the garden with a table set for four!
The Provencal cloth has beautiful shades of blue and gold!
*
Amber stemware is most often used for my fall tablescapes!
My everyday white dinner plates have been appearing often on Tablescape Tuesday. I hope you have seen that by adding colorful salad plates and linens, it changes the look entirely! The rooster salad plates were a gift many years ago!
Candlelight adds a touch of ambiance!
Grocery store flowers were placed in bottles…a quick and easy centerpiece. A wood slice charger adds rustic charm!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver”
Proverbs 25:11
Do you have objects that you love using for table settings with sweet memories attached? I would love to hear about them. Thank you for your visits and comments…they brighten my day!

So lovely, Pam! You really need to compile your tablescapes into a book! I love your tablecloth from Gordes and those napkins caught my eye immediately. I love how you had that unexpected surprise pop of purple. Those rooster plates are amazing.Your vintage chairs look beautiful with your grasses as a backdrop and the bronze mums and amber stemware say fall so beautifully.

Bonnie, thank you for sweet encouragement! I love memories that Butch and I have from all our travels! We leave Thursday for Aspen to make some more!

Beautiful cloth, Pam. I like hearing your memories, too. You know I’m a huge fan of using things with memories attached, and things old. Fall is so fleeting, and what a shame – it’s just so beautiful. The light in your garden at this season is just fantastic. I know part of it is due to angles, but the changing light of the plants themselves adds to the magic.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Rita! Yesterday and today it looks like pea soup out my windows…fog, clouds, and misting rain!
Maristella says
Your posts brighten my days! I agree with Bonnie and I want to buy your book as soon as you do it !!! I really LOVE your tablecloth, just wonderful!Blessings,Pam!

Thank you so much Maristella…blessings to you!

The rooster salad plates on the table cloth are breath taking. It reminds me of when I was in Austria and saw a table cloth that I couldn’t leave behind. It had that same blue background and was made in France. I have used it many times and particularly this time of year when Fall colors go with the colors in it. It’s in the 20’s here this morning and there is snow on the ground. The fireplace is going and the pumpkins are inside to keep them from freezing so seeing your table set outside makes me long to be in your part of the country.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear friend! The humidity is 100% today and it looks like pea soup out my windows! It is so muggy for October! We fly to Aspen on Thursday, the weather looks better, I hope that doesn’t change!
Alice says
The weather will be nice down here on Thursday but Saturday looks iffy for Aspen. Have fun and be safe.

Your table cloth is gorgeous, and your rooster salad plates are perfect with it! I like how you used the amber stems as a repeat of the flowers in the centerpiece. Again, your table shines with the backdrop of your star fall garden!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Kim, did you get rain from Nate? We got quite a lot!
Kim says
We got a little but hope for more today. Our ground is so dry! Happy Tuesday, friend! ????

Such a brave use of colors!
The amber glasses & the orange pumpkins are such a daring punch on that beautiful blue tablecloth!
What inspiration!
I sure love anything with pumpkins! Just can’t do much with that down here in Florida where we are still sporting upper 80s & 90’s!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Esther, I am not afraid of color?! Thank you dear friend!

Pam, this table is amazing. Love love love the cloth and napkins. Also love the rooster plates, the vintage chairs and how those little multi-colored pumpkins are perfect with all. I also love the stories that accompany many of your creations. The things I enjoy using most are those little treasures from Mother and Hazel and gifts from special people. Enjoy your trip. Blessings!

A good conjunction of colors that give a splendid result. I wonder if the rooster dishes will be from Portugal because it is the national motive of that country. All in a beautiful conjunction. I also want to highlight the rustic wooden base of the center, I love …..
